Amelia looked at her mother with a smile. "Good morning, mother." She said. "Good morning, Amelia." She smiled but Amelia knew it wasn't real. She knew why, though. She had created a cat for her neighbor the other day while her mother was at work. The neighbor appreciated what Amelia did. She believed it was very nice of her, even if she was the strange child of Didcot.
"Why did you disobey mine and your fathers' rule, Amelia?" Her mother asked. "Ms Alley missed her cat that was run over so I thought I would help her by giving her a new one." Amelia picked at her finger nails. "You should have asked me first. You know the town hates your special ability." She nodded. "Maybe when you're older you can use it however, but for now, you have to hide it." Her mother put a soft hand on her cheek. "Like you hide yours?" Amelia asked. Her mother sighed. "Yes. I hide mine because it's for your safety. I know it helps others, but I can't use it in front of others." Amelia sighed softly.
Her mother turned away. "I'm making breakfast this morning." She said to Amelia as she got out a bowl. "Can I go make little phoenix birds in my room?" Amelia asked her mother. "Yes you can. Your father would love to see them." She nodded excitedly, running up to her room.
Amelia's Point Of View
I sat on my floor with a large smile. Dad loves Phoenix's so I'm going to make one for him, I thought. I created a small Phoenix for dad. It flew around my room with an excited chirp. "I'm home!" Dad yelled from downstairs. I clapped. "C'mon Phoenix! Let's show dad!" I ran down with the Phoenix following. "Daddy look what I made you!" I pointed to the Phoenix. He smiled. "It's very beautiful, Amelia. Thank you." He pat my head.
The Phoenix landed on his shoulder. He seemed like he didn't want it but he kept it there, nonetheless. I was happy that he did. The Phoenix disappeared in a cloud of smoke, somehow not disturbing the fire alarms. 170Please respect copyright.PENANALJGWiMSjTf
