When most people imagine their dream life, they are pretty predictable. They want peace, happiness, family, romantic love, wealth or fame, and all their other desires. With me, that is not so.
I don't wish for peace nor happiness. I wish to live in a world I love. A world that I have explored countless times over, yet never set foot in. I would know everything about this world, and surprise the locals with my knowledge. Becoming the best of them would be my goal, so that I may lead the downtrodden into a future where they no longer need fear their oppressors. It would be a hard life, that is true, yet to help them would be worth it.
I don't wish for family or romance, for the path I have chosen to take will only endanger them. They will die not long after I gain my power, as I will be too busy protecting my people to protect them or myself. I don't wish for wealth or fame, at least not for any personal reasons. Should I desire those things, it would only be in the best interest of my subjects. No doubt, through my honorable acts, will I accumulate such things. That is no matter, though, because I will use it quite wisely.
In the end, my dream life will be the world from a video game. A place where the player characters have done much to help the world, but where there are still people in need.
