Finally, Sara couldn’t wait any longer. She ran down the hall, tiptoed up to Aaron’s door, and quietly swung it open.
At first, Sara thought that Aaron had already left. Until she noticed the dark brown patch of hair sticking out from beneath the covers.
Sara got a running start, then launched herself on Aaron. She sat on him for a moment, then started jumping up on his bed.
”Bell - view! Let’s go! Bell - view! Let’s go!” She chanted.
Aaron grunted from under the covers, throwing Sara to the bed and then to the floor. She was on her feet in a second, jumping back on Aaron’s bed as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.
“Sar - aaaaaa! The sun’s barely up! What are you doing up this early?” He groaned.
“The Bellview festival! Come on, we gotta go now if we want to get really good stuff!”
Aaron swung his legs over his bed and smiled at Sara.
“Ready in ten, right?”
Sara bobbed her head up and down eagerly. “You have coin, right? I only have a few bits.”
Aaron turned to a small bag in a corner. He grabbed one of the straps and rumaged through the contents. Sara could hear the sound of coin jingle as he counted how much he had saved.
“Yeah, I got fifteen bits. That’s enough, right?”
”That’s plently! We can afford a shirt or two, some of Barny’s apples, and something fun.”
Aaron nodded and Sara darted back down the hall, the seconds ticking by as Aaron started to count to ten.
