“Hello! I’m Charlie, this is Martin, and Mialee! The rest, I'll explain later.” She said, gesturing to her neighbours. They were all sentient animatronics, and lived in what was called “The Village of Shapists.”

They were a sort of government funded daycare, of which attended to not only infants, but anybody below the age of seventeen, for some inexplicably indescribable reason. The place was large, like D.C., and it’s mascot- A large circle, bow on her head and larger one around the waist, Charlie Marone.

“...and with that,” She said, descending from her pedestal along with her fellow neighbours, “Welcome to The Village Of Shapists!” And with that, the magnificently wood gate that stood behind her opened. A flowered stone pathway followed, eccentrically coloured buildings lining the path.

“Maps are over there,” Charlie said, pointing at a nearby kiosk. “Otherwise, who wants a tour?” And everybody’s hands shot up, both newcomers and recurring guests, which was, in Charlie’s personal opinion, a ‘okay’ sight to see.

“Alright, follow me!” And the large crowd did as they were told. “To your right is the music house,” She gestured to the black and piano-like brownstone, “run by Miss Louviliere Tranquilivence.” An elderly looking triangle wielding a cane and a sunhat walked steadily forward, smiling warmly at the crowd.

Charlie continued, gesturing to her left. “That’s my sister’s, Reliviana, cafe! Oh, there she is!” A cube wearing round sunglasses, handbag in hand, walked over to the building doors, smiling slightly.

“The library ahead is run by my brother Peirce and Cece,” A vertical rectangle with square glasses and a horizontal one with two bits sticking out at the end oped the library for the day, “That’s the canteen, run by Jalquones,” a building squat in comparison to the five floor library was opened by a vertical rhombus, sombrero on his head, who was looking somewhat hesitant, “And that,” Charlie pointed to a building to the left of the library, opposite to the canteen, “Is where you go if you just need a conversation. It’s run by Sameen,” A blue sweet “Lola, chocolate bar currently eating a chocolate bar, “ And Jonathan.” An L rotated 270 degrees clockwise appeared alongside the other two, deep in conversation. “They’ll be there whenever you have a problem or have to get something off your chest.”

Charlie paused for a moment, eyes wandering in the direction of the canteen. She turned back to the crowd.

“The grounds are free to wander during hours, but do us a favour and please leave during closing time, we’re not very good at finding people.” She said, laughing nervously. The crowd laughed nervously along with her, unsure just the same. “My family and I,” She gestured toward a weirdly built Y and a smiling hexagon, who waved. ”Will take care of the kids, and if you have any concerns, just find us!” A tower of blocks appeared, scaring the life out of Charlie.

“For the love of Sol!” She said, picking up herself, “How many times have I told you not to do that!?” “Oh, sorry Charlie!” One of the blocks said, “It’s just that you forgot to mention us!” “Oh, ok then.” Charlie then turned to the now dispersing crowd. “These are the blocky siblings, but other than that,” A diamond fashioned fountain erupted out of the ground behind her, “I, on this first day of summer, welcome you to The Village of Shapists!”

“Here you are.” Charlie said, handing the smiling infant to its mother, the baby burping meanwhile. “Thank you.” The mother said. “No problemo! If you need anything, just contact us, I’ll be on the receiving end.” The mother, smiling kindly once again, turned around, and took her leave through the gates, aforementioned gates closing after her. The village was now closed.

Charlie stared longingly in the gate’s direction, hoping to leave at least one day, but she knew the world wouldn’t allow it, it simply wasin’t how things were.

Her robotic smile slipped off her face as she turned around to the now closed daycare, the stars twinkling above its inhabitants. To her right, the guitar shaped music building stood closed, Loviliere absent. Reliviana’s teacup cafe was also closed, and so was Peirce’s brownstone library, and Sammen, Lola, and Jonathan’s Convo House. The canteen, however, was still open.

Charlie entered the canteen, to find Jalquones absent. “Jalquones?” She called, and was met with no reply. She then went into the kitchen, calling again, before she noticed murmuring coming from the back door.

However much she disliked him, she was still worried, so being very cautious, she opened the back door, and saw, to her mild indignation and surprise saw him speaking to a radio? That was the only way they could talk to the executives, the people who owned the place, but normally, they were supposed to talk to her first before the executives.

“Yes, she’s there.” He whispered, before pausing. He put the radio under his sombrero, and turned around, finding Charlie standing in the doorway. He frowned at her, speaking. “What are you doing here?” “Could ask you the same thing. Who were you talking to?” “That’s none of your business, thank you.” Jalquones said, rolling his eyes.

“I think it is if you were talking to one of the executives, but I’ve told you this already, speak to me before-” “Oh shut up Charlie, not everythings about you, you know. I talk to whoever I want whenever I want, and if you can’t deal with that, so be it.” And then Jalquones walked off, the lights of the canteen turning off as he left its premises. Charlie frowned after him, suspicious as to what he was up to, but she decided she’d find out later, she needed to get to her charging station.

She walked toward where the diamond fountain stood, and with a snap of her fingers, a downward leading flight of stairs appeared. Down she went, and found everybody, except Jalquones for some reason, charging. Strike your pose and charge was what her creator told her, though the executives had discarded of them a while back.

She was slightly worried about Jalquones though, what could he have been up to? He might have landed himself in a sticky situation, but then again, she did need to charge, and 2% is not easy to do that on. Combined with her hidden but still present dislike for him, she simply stepped onto her podium, and struck her pose, falling into the closest thing she had to sleep.
