“Mommy, how did you meet daddy?”
”Oh pumpkin. I think that’s a story for another day.”
”Please mommy!!!”
“Ok, ok,” I sighed as I sat down on Johnny’s bed.
”I first met your daddy when I transferred to a new high school…”

”Sweetie!!! Hurry up! You’re going to be late for your first day!”
”I’m coming mom!” I yell as I rush down the stairs. I quickly grab my backpack and my toast off the kitchen counter and run outside.
I hop into my mom’s car. She starts driving me to my new school. We moved because my dad got a promotion in his job at a business company but it required him to move. Luckily I was accepted into the high school although it was already past the second semester.
I wasn’t super worried because, just like at my last school, I’ll be by myself once people forget about me. I don’t mind though because I’m not a very talkative person and I’d rather be alone.
“We’re here sweetie!”
I open the car door and before I can get out of the car my mom grabs my wrist.
”Lily, please try to make some friends here. Don’t shut them out. Please?”
I roll my eyes and reply, “I’ll try mom. But that doesn’t mean that I’ll make any friends.”
My mom smiled a little bit and waved goodbye to me as I closed the car door and walk towards my new school.
