I walk through the hallway to my classroom. Kate catches up with me.
"Hey, Tina!", she yells. She calls me Tina. It's short for Valentina. She's pretty much my only best friend. We walk to class together every day.
"What's up, loser?", Clay yells. He's such a dick. Shitty, right? Especially considering the fact that we used to be friends. He's one of the guys who... well, "bullies" is not the right word. It's more like teasing. He calls me names and embarrasses me a lot.
"Shut up, you dick," I say. What? Most people would think I would have stayed quiet. I mean, nobody's gonna tell on each other, because we all did something that we can use against one another. Because, well... we all used to be friends freshman year.
At the beginning of freshman year, we all became this big group. It was me, Clay, Barbara, Kate, Ethan, Noah, Daniel, and Sarah. There were eight of us, and we were probably the most popular group our grade. We were so innocent and fresh out of middle school. We hung out all the time, until the guys did something that completely messed up our friend group.
We decided to ding dog ditch our principal about a month and half after school started. We planned to meet up on a certain day at night in front of her house.
The guys ditched us and decided to do it early. But, the principal caught them. When they got in trouble, they ratted all of us out, and told the principal that all of us were planning to do it.
And guess who's idea all of this was? If you guessed Clay, you got it right. He decided to do the whole entire thing, but he blamed it on us, when we didn't do any of it. We got mad at them, but we still stayed a friend group.
At the end of the year, Barbara and Daniel moved. That didn't change much, though. We decided to stay together.
The next year, though, all of that changed. We came back after the summer, each with someone that was part of our group as their friends. We all became pretty distant, and eventually separated into two groups that we're still in today. Let me introduce you to the members.
So, first, there's my group. Me, Kate, and Sarah are in it. Second, there's Clay's group. Clay, Ethan, and Noah.
Kate has been my best friend since seventh grade. Sarah is kind of like our hot friend. She's the popular one that kind of protects us, I guess. I have no idea why she would want to be friend with people like us, but we love her. We made friends with her during eighth grade. Then, there's Clay's group. Clay, of course, is kind of like the leader. First, there's Ethan. He's not that bad. He's just Clay's side piece. He rarely talks anymore, actually. Second, there's Noah. He's the most annoying one. He's short and stubby, and has anger issues.
So, now that I've done the introduction, let's get back to the present.
