ISABELLA'S POV
I put on a Nike muscle tank and tied a red and black plaid flannel around my waist. I slid my phone into my pocket as I put on an black Adidas snap back.
I quickly grabbed a pencil and a yellow highlighter from my desk and shoved them both into my pencil case.
I dashed down the stairs and ran into the kitchen.
"Hey mom, what's for breakfast?" I asked as I glanced around the kitchen.
She sighed and and pulled out a chair from the table and sat down.
"Sorry, honey. I didn't make it yet, I had a huge headache last night and my head still hurts right now."
I nodded in concern, "I'll quickly make breakfast for us then. Good thing I woke up early today. I mean I did plan on finishing my math homew- Y'know what, never mind. I'll just make breakfast."812Please respect copyright.PENANAtPQ47QvKYp

I walked outside and stepped onto the sidewalk. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my Instagram feed as I stood there on the pavement.
"Izzy!"
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to face a grinning guy with light brown hair. His long, pointed ears peeking through his tussled hair.
"It's been so long since I saw you!" he smiled.
"Noah, it's only been two weeks." I laughed as I wrapped my arms around him. "We went to the beach with your brother last month, remember?"
We continued to walk down the sidewalk together.
People at school always thought we were dating, but we were just really close friends.
We basically grew up together and had most of our classes together in middle school. Our parents were pretty good friends as well, sometimes both our families would go to the park together after school.
Today was our first day back from summer break.
I tipped my hat lower as I felt a cold breeze brush past us, I could sense Noah beside me tense up. I knew he didn't like cold weather.
Not many people knew that he was part elf because he hid it pretty well with small lies.
His ears aren't as long and pointed as other elves because he is also half human, but they weren't still noticeable and "unnatural".
We entered the school together and headed to the office.
"Hi, Mrs. Clark! Can I get my schedule for this quarter?" I asked as Noah and I walked up to the front desk in the main office.
"Definitely!" she smiled as she went on the computer and printed out my schedule.
I slowly glanced around the room as Mrs. Clark handed me the pink slip of paper.
I heard the door open from behind me, I looked behind me and saw a handsome guy walk in through the door.
His tussled dark blonde hair lightly brushed his forehead as his clear blue eyes scanned the room, finding the front desk.
I turned back to Noah just as he got his schedule. We shared what periods we had and headed to find our lockers before the school bell rang.
-
I entered my math classroom right before the bell rang and scanned the room for an empty seat. Since I was the last student to arrive in class, there were only a few seats left.
There was one next to Joey Newfeld. He was a really annoying kid.
You know that one kid everyone has, that has the dirtiest mind and will make everything seem perverted?
Well Joey is that "one kid". He makes everything you say become dirty and inappropriate.
Not sitting there. That guy needs to take a bath in holy water.
Then, there was a seat in front of Elliot Erikson.
"H-Hi, Isabella..." he blushed as he casually put down the textbook that he was clearly picking his nose behind.
"Um, hey Elliot." I forced out a smile and his face flushed like a tomato. When I glanced away, I'm sure he continued his gold digging.
Yup, definitely not sitting there.
The last seat available was directly in front of the new student I saw earlier this morning. Well I guess I don't have any problems with him, I'll just sit here then.
I slid into the seat just as the teacher walked to her desk. and started calling attendance.
I dazed off pretty quickly and I jolted back into reality when I felt a small tap on my shoulder.
Again.
What's with all the tapping on the shoulders?
I turned my head around and the boy behind me pointed at the teacher.
"Honey, is your name Isabella?" the teacher chuckled lightly. "I've called your name twice already."
"Yeah." I blushed. "Sorry."
I could hear the guy behind me laugh as I slid farther down in my seat in embarrassment.
My long hair caught in the chair's bolts and pulled out a few strands of my brown hair as I sat upright.
"Ow!"
"Are you okay?" The person behind me asked as he bit back a laugh.
"I'm fine." I rolled my eyes as I tugged gently at my hair, untangling a knotted curl in my hair. "Just got a couple strands of my hair ripped out of my scalp, but it's all good."
"So your name's Isabella?" he asked.
"Yup. What's yours?"
The teacher looked around the classroom, "Is Logan Daley here?"
"Yes, ma'am. Right here." the guy said as he raised his hand.
"My name is Logan, Logan Daley." he grinned at me with his perfect white teeth.
