I opened my eyes slowly. The room was bright and I wasn’t used to it. Once my eyes adjusted, I saw that the room was a light grey. I was sat at a table with my arms tied to the chair behind me. I tried to pull free for a few seconds before giving up. I looked around again. The room was almost bare except the chair, table, a camera in the corner left of the door in front of me, and a mirror to my right. I recognized this room as the first time I met him. Upon the table was the very rose that made me fall for him. I looked at the mirror and smirked, knowing who was on the other side.
“Come on out Ryker. You’re not fooling me today.” I called out towards the mirror. I waited a few seconds, turning my attention to the door when it opened to reveal exactly who I thought it would be. “Couldn’t stay away?”
”You of all people know I can’t stay away from something that’s mine.” Ryker said. His gaze dominant. I wanted to cower, but I held his eyes, trying to seem unafraid.
“Yeah, but you of all people should know that I belong to no one.” I reply. He scoffed, letting his gaze fall to the floor.
“I truly love you, why don’t you love me?”
”You have caused me nothing but sadness and harm. Every time I see you, I end up getting hurt. I’m done with it. My heart no longer yearns for you. I no longer love you.” I spat in his face. His eyes seemed empty, blank even, his expression unreadable. Maybe I had finally gotten through to him. He nodded his head and walked out of the room.
“I loved you,” I heard his voice over the intercom. “and yet, you loved me not. A good story has a happy ending, but a fantastic one ends in sorrow. Guess you and I will make a fantastic story.” I heard the click of the intercom ending and then gas began to fill the room. “We have nothing else between us. Here you first loved me, and here you will die. I love you and I can’t wait to see you in hell.”
”I hope you become immortal and rot away here for the rest of your days.” I spat. I tried to break out of my bonds, but they were too tight. I was stuck and I was going to die. As the gas began to fill my lungs, I felt my breaths become shorter, my head lighter, and my eyes heavier. I let them fall, just for a few seconds. My mind became blank and the last thing I remember is his voice and the last thing I saw.
His voice saying; “I love you.” and the rose that made me fall for him.
