A car ride and blindfolded walk later, the odd trio arrived at a door. It smelled damp and the only noise was the breathing from the three men.
They were underground.
”What is this.” Thomas asked. Unsettling nervousness gripped him, threatening to wipe his mind of all his military training.
”You won’t be asking questions.” One of the men muttered as the door was opened.
Contrary to the dank, somewhat creepy exterior, inside was a lavish hallway all white and gleaming. They walked a while before entering what seemed to be an office.
”Ah! My second guest has finally arrived.” The chair behind the silver desk swivelled to reveal a dark haired man, with equally dark eyes.
Thomas kept his mouth shut. This was a dangerous situation, no question about it.
”Quiet, I respect it.” The man stood. “You have a certain skill I would like to use to my advantage.”
”Why should I help you?” Thomas had no clue what the man was talking about, but he could tell the man was not on the virtuous side of this discussion.
”Thought you’d say that.” With that, the door behind them opened, revealing Thomas’s… friend.
“Jules.” He breathed, fists clenching.
The man grinned. “Time for your decision Thomas.”
