He rested his head between his hands slouching on the desk, trying to erase all the bad memories of his bad nightmares, Which seem to be appearing more and more often nowadays. The classroom was peaceful as most of the children went somewhere in the recess.
He raised his head to see who was poking him only to be met with a figure of a girl with long black hair which were till her waist, she had big brown eyes which seem to be somehow always filled with curiosity. If you ever manage to get on this girl's bad side you would find yourself wondering if this was the same girl whose laugh was a very addicting, the same girl who always wanted to play silly games. the girl named Ezra Evans.
"Hey Mark? " she said snapping her fingers in front of me tilting her head towards the side.
"Yes! " I replied getting out of my thoughts. These nightmares were taking a toll on me.
"Are you alright ? you look a bit pale." she said looking at me worriedly .
"yeah, don't worry I was just thinking about something."
"So hey, you know I was wondering if you are finished with your thoughts then we can go and get some lunch? "
"Yes! sorry for keeping you waiting." I replied standing up very fast from my chair.
" Hehe, No problem! " she said smiling and leading the way her hair flying behind her I she turned.
We went to the canteen and ended up getting the same thing as yesterday.
"Damn! we get the same thing everyday at this point" she said frustrated.
"Oh please! you forgot the kimchi." I replied sarcastically rolling my eyes at her. Ezra was the kind of person who would complain about something everyday, but end up doing it anyways.
After having the lunch we went back to the class, with 10 minutes still left till the break get over.
"Okay, so hey you know the science teacher of Rebecca's class? " Ezra said sipping her chocolate shake.
"Yes, why? " I replied sipping on my own strawberry shake.
"Well, Rebecca told me that her science teacher is not coming to school for teaching, and its almost a month now." she said blinking rapidly at me with a wide smile coming on her face.
"So...what's wrong? " I replied with a sigh this is going to go for a while.
"Well, what if someone killed her!" she said shouting at my face excitement evident on her face.
I sighed again at her antics "damn Ezra, this is too messed up even fo-"
