CHAPTER-12 “Costly Mistake”
A giant Boulder comes crashing into the makeshift walls of the village and 2 soldiers lose their lives.
“I will have to use my fire magic this time,” Gloria says
“But won’t the limiter hurt you? You still haven’t recovered from your battle with Ronin.” Kade said
“So what? There must be some reason for my father to put a limit on me. And just because of a limiter, I can’t see our people die!”
“Ok, I won’t stop you. I will also fight with all I have.” Kade said
“Divine Stage: Body of Vajra!” Gloria says this and runs towards the army of undead while shrouded by divine energy, the undead in return also rush at her.
A soldier gives a bow and some arrows to Kade.
“Everyone, I and Gloria will take the front, you guys stay here with Elder Sil and make sure none of the undead gets into the village!” Kade said
“Yes sir!” the soldiers shouts
“And Wyran, if anything is to happen to us, you take the command.
“M-me?”
“Yes you, I am entrusting our backs to you all.”
“We will try our best sir!” The soldiers says.
Kade gets on the top of the walls and shoots an arrow in the air which duplicates and becomes hundreds of arrows.
“Oi Gloria, Get back a little.” He said
“Oh ok,” she said as she leaped back
The shower of arrows falls on the undead, most of them defend against it using their shields and are unharmed.
Gloria summons A large array of spikes and shoots at the undead which works like a charm.
“Kade! I will use a big one to cover me a bit and please carry me back if needed.”
“Don’t worry I got it.”
“Divine Surge: O Sun high shall its rays descend, Vanquish the Evils I face, As your wielder bless me with this boon, grant peace to those already gone. Dawn of Judgment!” Gloria raises her right hand wielding her sword while chanting. A huge Rays of Intense sunlight falls on a huge number of undead, Erasing 1/4th of the undead Army. Gloria falls to the ground powerless.
Kade rushes to Gloria to pick her but he sees a man clad in black armor enshrouded by an ominous aura grabbing Gloria by her neck. Seeing this Kade stops and shoots an arrow which instead of hitting the armored man is heading straight at Gloria’s head, but suddenly a breeze of air changes its trajectory, it's Sil who used wind magic.
“Unhand her Bone-head!” Kade shoots 4 arrows, then 3 arrows and then 2 arrows consecutively at The Man but the man dodges and 2 arrows hits Gloria.
“Coward! Using a woman to save your skin! I Said unhand her!”
“Gladly, But for that to happen I want the head of that elf. Sil Clodian.”
“Clodian?!” Kade said while shooting a shocked look at Sil
MEANWHILE near the forest.
Ronin is standing while breathing heavily. He suddenly runs at the giant bone titan and throws his spear with great force at the titan which hits the giant in its eye socket and tears through its skull. Ronin Leaps up the falling titan’s body and upon reaching its face he puts his left hand on its forehead and starts to absorb it.
“*Tsk* the skull is too big to absorb in a short time,” he says
The titan does not die, and instead grabs Him and tries to crush him. Resisting the crushing force, I try to absorb its hand and it works. Without its bone marrow, the skeleton cannot move. That must mean that the miasma or mana that is controlling it must run through the Bone marrow. And so I quickly absorb the bone marrow from various bones but the smaller undead savages are restless and they are rushing at me. I also discovered that I can just summon my weapon from anywhere if I think of it. This power is kind of Busted.
Suddenly a kick makes its contact with my face and sends me flying away into other undeads. I destroy the undead and get out of the Army’s formation. A guy jumps off the giant Titan and comes crashing down with his knee ready to dive into my face but I get away. If my skull was there, I doubt I would have survived.
“Fool, I don’t know who you are but it seems like you love getting in other’s way. You have wasted enough time of ours. If you leave now I may let you live.” The man said, with a giant sword and a bow on his back.
“I don’t give a shit. We will soon know who will live and who will die.” I said
“The man rushes with decent speed but not comparable to mine. But the man is not half bad at martial arts. Instead of a weapon he is fighting with fists and kicks.”
The man launches a forward kick but I interrupt its range by blocking his footing as I put my right foot on his left thigh.
The man clad in black armor creates some distance.
“So you are versed in Physical arts. But I sense no mana from you. That means you are a man-less. I have no intention of wasting time here. I shall finish you here and now.”
The man summon black fiends made out of black energy. The fiends rush at me but vanish upon entering a few meters of my personal space.
“I call this the ‘Personal Space’ technique. No magic or power can function within my Personal Space.”
“Do you have a family?” He said
“What brought that on?” I said
“My god tells me that you have a sister. Oh, The first hero of this generation, Ava Rays is your sister huh? If you die now, I promise I will leave her alone.” He said.
All I can do is try my best to hide the psycho smile I gained from my hitman job. It's been a long time since someone has threatened my family.
This guy is a total jerk. I Can’t let a single bone escape from here. I rush at the man with all the speed I have which surely shakes him up. This time I use the momentum to break his leg. And another kick sends him crashing into a horde of undead. The undead army rushes at me. I can’t believe it, After all this time I am still so sensitive. But I can’t help but be angry. I will destroy this guy and the god he is talking about.

“You, Are no Human!. Kill this guy and bring his head to me. It will be so much fun when I show his head to his sister before killing her too.”
After a long time, I have made a clear choice. I want this guy dead.
The undead army rushes me with no rest.
“Let me show you why I chose spear over all other weapons,” I said as I made quick work of the undead heading towards me. It's partly that’s to my Personal Space that the undead are not able to move anymore in my range or else I would be stuck under a mountain of bones.
“What is this guy? My undead can’t even touch him. He has destroyed half of my army already. How will I face Master Sythe ?”
“Curses You monster! You have forced me to use this!” the man said as he raised both his hands towards the sky and a giant black ball of energy with sparks of White, Purple, Red, and Orange emerged in the air around it. The ball gets bigger and bigger.
“Such a fool.” I think
“Take this You monster!” He yells as he throws the ball at me. I use my brain and jump into a big part of the undead army. The impact is great. I can feel the ground shaking, and the view outside of my Personal Space turns black as I get consumed by the ball. The Ball of energy blasts and like a missile would blast, it too does the same. Although the magic itself doesn’t hurt me some stone fly inside my space and hits my body.
The impact is so devastating that it can be seen from Newin village as well.
The undead army is mostly done for. The man is standing behind a shield and manages to save 1/6th of the army.
“*Laughs* This is what you get for getting in my way.” He says
I walk out of the smoke which paralyzes the Man.
“What did you say you would do to my Sister?” I am in no mood to hear any bullshit. Any who threatens my Home or my family will soon perish.
“I-I-I I was right! You are no human! You are a monster! Please let me live, I did not say anything, y-yes my god, Alzex said that.” He begs
“H-He said. *Chokes* lakh..*chokes to death*” he said but suddenly Blood started to come out of his eyes and ears as he choked and died. The undead also falls to the ground.
“You are late, Too late Alzex? Soon I will make you regret being in the position you are for threatening me with my sister’s death.”
MEANWHILE LOCATION: HELL
IN THE Caste’s THRONE ROOM OF ALZEX (God of Dead and Ammends)
Alzex is sitting on his throne, Eyes emitting a purple aura while clad in black armor with golden edges and designs.
Ethis the goddess of the moon appears beside him out of nowhere. With her Silver hair and golden eyes, her beauty reminds me of the shining moon in the night sky.
“Husband, You have made a mistake. You shouldn’t have made enemies with that human.” She says
“You could have told me this before. I thought it would be fun if I could force my will on him. Who knew he could defy divine laws and Even the system set by you and Great Hero Luther.”

“Yes. I suggest you try and get on his good side when you have a chance. Because for some reason Goddess Globe has been Aggressive and has become more strict on us gods trying to meddle in Globe Realm” She said
MEANWHILE in Newin Village.
The army breaches the village walls and the soldiers fight them under Sil’s command.
The man in armor enters the village on a horse with Gloria still held by her neck.
Gloria tries to use her divine power but a current hits her and the hand of the Man in armour.
“So this limiter can be useful like this,” Gloria says as a smirk curls up on her face. Sil uses this moment to use Tree magic to get Gloria away from the man and put her near Kade who is on a rooftop.
“So there you are Sil. Remember me?” the man said to which Sil responded with a confused expression.
“Of course you wouldn’t. After all, it's been 400 years since you ruined my life.” The man said but Sil used her magic to kill the horse. The man jumps off avoiding the hit.
“Bitch, my horse was innocent.”He said
“I could see the pain in its eyes, You forced a prideful being such as an Alpha Greizer. It was begging to be freed.” Sil says
“Your lunacy is still the same after all this time!” The man said as he rushes at Sil. The others are busy with the undead.
“Sil uses her footwork to dodge the sword attack of the man but the dark aura around it hurts Sil on her cheeks.
Sil covers her wound and tries to heal it but the wound won’t heal.
“This is a legendary curse sword with a soul and Bones of a bone demon in it, Healing won’t save you.” The man said
“I remember now, You are Sythe. The hero of the previous generation. Don’t be mistaken, I was forced by the Elven prince to conduct such Disgusting experiments. I Left the research team a long time ago and have been working to destroy those who are still involved.”
“This won’t change what you did to me. My master demands blood. I will kill you.” The Sythe says
Sythe rushes at Sil who uses a mixture of sharp tree roots and rock shards with wind magic to create a twister around Sythe but a black ominous energy envelops the twister it disappears. Sythe rushes out of the smoke and attacks her with the sword which she barely dodges and still gets injured near her abdomen.
Sil uses Her Earth magic and creates a giant wall with wooden spikes and uses it as a launch which shoots wooden spikes at Sythe who expertly dodges and deflects some of the spikes, one hits him in the shoulder.
“I wanted to end you without using my magic but it seems like I underestimated you. Let me show you.” He said
A dark shadow of energy lurks behind Sil and binds her.
“Dark Magic!? Do you use a forbidden magic? How low have you fallen.” She said
“You ruined my life. Because of you people, my family starved to death in the war. This is not that bad when you think about how fallen you fools were. I will have my revenge!” He said. Suddenly strong Gravity magic hits Sythe but despite this, he manages to stay standing. Sheru and the Alpha Greizer have arrived.
“A demon? Why are you getting in my way? I am under Demon lord’s Banner.” Sythe says
“Sorry, But my Lord has ordered me to protect this village,” Sheru says with his purple pupil emitting energy.
“Your lord? The demon lord?” Sythe says in a confused voice.
Sheru removes the binds.
“This guy is hiding his true strength, I don’t know how long we can hold him,” Sheru said to Sil.
“I know a demon when I see one, Who are you?” Sil shoots a suspecting look at him.
“Yes, I am a former Trenant. But Lord Ronin bested me in a fight and I decided to follow him.”
Kade arrives with Gloria holding on to him for support to stand.
“If that’s true then where is he?” Gloria asks
“Well, he told me he would follow suit after we left but he still didn’t come. I fear he changed plans and decided to fight the other army.” Sheru says.
“Fight the other army?” Gloria thinks with a grim face.
“The army!? That army is 700 hundred strong!.”
“Oh, you think a weak Trenant and a mere alpha graizer can aid you?” Sythe says as the dark aura around him is dense and he looks like a devil out of hell with red eyes and a complete shadow-like figure.
“Who is he? His energy is so strong, I don’t think we can fight him.” Sheru says with a concerned expression.
But The Horse decides that it wants to kick Sythe which sends Sythe flying across the area into a village wall.
Sythe can see stars because of that kick and struggles to stand.
With energy emanating he removes his mask, revealing his hideous face with an angry expression.
“How dare a mere horse!?” he says, but Sheru uses his power to bind Sythe in vines, which is futile as they wither away.
“Like I thought, my magic won’t work on him. Only if Lord Ronin were here.”
MEANWHILE RONIN:-
Ronin Stands in front of the army and is exhausted.
“Shit, as soon as I try to absorb a skeleton, their boss shoots large arrows at me.” He thinks as the skeletons keep coming for him.
“*claps* Incredible, forgive me, Great Warrior! I underestimated you, but it is about time we wrap this up, you have already destroyed more than half of my army.” The boss of the Undead army says as some skeleton carries him in front of me and as he speaks, his bones and flesh twist and his broken leg fixes and I am sure I can see his black aura becoming denser and bigger.
Suddenly he rushes at me with incredible speed, and blood sprays from his overswole legs, I can see him come at me but I am fatigued and I barely dodge his sharp demonic fist.
“Got you,” He says
Got me? What is he… before I can react, I see a shiny thread tied to my left arm where there are no scales, and the next moment I feel a sharp pain as I lose my left arm.
I grab my left arm and clench the flesh to stop the bleeding.
“*laughs* Now, Fill this world with echoes of agony and lament*laughs*,” he says but while he is busy being a sadist, I pick my hand, and miraculously as I bring it near my injury, the hand tries to reattach but due to lack of enough nutrition, it fails.
Seeing this the demon’s laughs fall quiet.
“Agony, Huh?” I say as I stand and put the severed hand in the space pocket that Warzheil gave me.
“You don’t know anything about me and yet assumed I would give a jack about you. Anyway, now that I am in reserve mode, It's going to be about techniques more than brute strength. “ I say but, I need distractions to get my fuel, it seems like I will have to use my ultimate move.
“Oh look Drax is here to help me!” I shout as I point in a direction and like always the trick worked like a charm.
I use the distraction to absorb a few skeletons and finally, I can fight again. But I don’t think I should just kill this boss.
I don’t like to play dirty but now that It comes down to it…I slide my right leg back and throw my spear with all my strength at the boss. The boss dodges the spear.
“*laughs like a fanatic* Are you a fool!? What made you think I would just stand there and take the hit? When you meet the Shades of Death, tell them Bofumena sent you.” He says as he rushes to hack me with his huge sword.
I wait as he approaches me with a poker face. As he is about to hack me down, I summon my spear back in my hand which leaves Demon smiling blankly at his fate, my spear makes its way through the Demon’s skull.
“Although I may not be a master, you think you can rush a spearman with a mere great sword?” I think as the demon’s head makes its way into the spearhead.
“Be sure to tell your gods, try hurting my sister, and by the Wrath of my Gods, I will have their heads,” I Say, trying to sound as intimidating as I can.
“Mon..ster.” the Demon says.
I turn to face the skeleton army but it's already a big pile of bones, I found out about it when I was trying to eat fruit with my right arm but I can absorb using my right arm and unlike my left arm, The absorption is very slow compared to my left, But I can control the power in my right arm, I will soon need to master my left as well, although most attempts have yielded no visible progress up until now.
I Slowly absorb some of the bones, Suddenly I feel weak and my severed left arm starts to react as a new arm starts to develop but there is still a lack of nutrition.
“Guess I will need to absorb all of these bones.” I think but suddenly an idea pops up and as weird as it may be, I take the other part of the arm and absorb it which makes the recovery even faster.
After I have my Left arm back, I absorb the demon But it doesn’t seem impressive as I feel nothing more than my hunger settling down a little.
Now I must get to the village fast.
