Beauty abounds in the house of God today.

A light shimmering and the destiny engraved in me

Decides, once, again, that never should I see,

The dark behind of me.

Beauty shrouds the face of mother from the sea,

One of those creatures rose to see the white of her teeth.

But it couldn’t have been I, for she had floated away

Before the dark surrounded me.

She knows not, now, this plague inside of me.

Beauty abounds in the heart of my lover, today.

A broken promise yearns to be seen,

But she doesn’t hear, and she doesn’t see,

For the ignorance, and thus is the way she will be.

The dark parts the sea.

Beauty is found when it inflames the skin,

A delicate touch burns to see what’s inside,

The touch digs, but alas,

It returns empty.

And she, now, knows not this plague inside of me.

A voice reaches and claws to be set free.

But we don’t hear, we don’t see,

For we are blind, and that’s all we will ever be.

The dark surrounds we.

Beauty wraps its coils ‘round the throat of the congregation,

A violent seizing stops the fighting, and we are complacent.

But our eyes dilate at the sound, and we remain but a seed.
