THE DAYS have faded into one another as they've spent endless moments in one another's company. The endless pleasure felt intoxicating. However, the sexual tension has led to another component; comfort.
Slowly, they have started to lose the agreement of having no feelings involved. Whether they have admitted to such thoughts aloud, doesn't erase the fact that current moments like this seep into their hearts.
As the hours have passed since their bodies joined, the two begin to enjoy the television show in front of them. The comforter lay softly on their naked bodies as her head rests on his chest while stroking his stomach with her acrylic nails. Her wall lights contrast with the television screen creating a pleasing atmosphere. Pleasant until the loud ring of Dean's telephone destroys the calm.
His hand grips his phone to glance at the caller's name. He suddenly jumps up answering the call with a nervous tone. Nari's eyebrows knot as she picks up on the female voice belonging to the caller.
"Yeah, sure, I'm not busy. I can come right now, don't worry," Dean rises with no care as Nari's head flops on the bed loudly as he rushes out.
She confusedly whips around as he hurriedly collects his belongings. "Who was it," Nari questions the strange call.
Dean pauses as he gulps loudly avoiding her question. "It's nothing, I have to go," he pulls his shirt on before heading for her bedroom door.
"It was your ex wasn't it?"
Dean's hand rests on the doorknob as he pauses, knowing his silence confirms her suspicion.
Nari's laugh drifts into the air as her hand pushes her hair to the side out of exasperation. "I thought she slammed a door in your face? On top of that, didn't she ignore you for weeks? You're leaving for that?"
He loudly sighs turning to loosely reassure her, "I'm not ending anything we have going on, I'm just going to talk to her. I don't even know why you're this worried about it, we aren't even together."
His statement makes her heart sting, as she loses her words momentarily. "Yeah, I'm not your girlfriend but, I can fuck you and spend time with you like I am yours," Nari's voice trembles as a lone tear escapes her.
"You're being ridiculous! You said we should do this! Not me, you!" Dean blames her for the guilt suddenly surging through his body.
Her head lifts facing him with quivering lips, "Yeah, you're right I did start this. Yup, you're right, I don't why I'm overreacting. I hope you realize she's wasting your time. Bye." Nari climbs to the top of her bed reorganizing her pillows as she lays down readjusting the sound to drown him out. A few tears slip down her face as she tries to calm her quickening heartbeats.
"I'll call you later, I mean it," he turns to leave her space. Dean's mind begins to race as he becomes torn between Nari and his former love. One offered him comfort yet ended with an agonizing separation. The other gives him astounding pleasure and hope of a blossoming relationship. However, the thought of amending the past pulled him away from Nari. Though he hopes she'll forgive him.
