As I entered the creaky old building, I couldn't believe my eyes. In front of me was a pedestal with a bowl on it. Suddenly, the bowl caught on fire, illuminating the dirty walls and floor. Spiders scurried up the walls and birds took off. The ground shook and the walls spun, giving me vertigo.

All of the dirty grey walls transformed into bright pink ones, the ceiling adorned with a chandelier. The door I entered in was a gorgeous wooden entrance with golden trimming. Previously boarded windows turned into beautiful stained-glass portraits that made the sunlight shine in beautiful colors on the floor.

Suddenly, a woman ran down a staircase, being chased by a much older and angry man. She was holding a luggage bag, sobbing and running even faster from the man. Outside, the woman was caught by guards and taken into a carriage against her will.

Again, the floor and walls started to spin, turning back into a grey. The windows were broken and boarded up once again. I had no idea what had happened or who that woman was, but I was captivated by the mystery. I exited the building and made my way to the library to find any information I could about the woman.
