Outiside, birds twittered in the trees and squirrels scampered in the undergrowth. This place definitely looked different from the last destination. The woods were thin and made mostly of pine trees. I set a claw out of the cave and onto the soft earth. Slowly inching the rest of the way out of the cave, I rose to my full height. Standing on my back legs I let out a roar. A roar so loud it silenced the entire forest. The beast had awakened.
The day dragged on. I roamed the forest scaring every woodland creature into silence. Suddenly my head snapped up, each and every muscle quivering in anticipation. I felt a strong pull away from the forest. The sky slowly darkened as the pull became stronger. I glanced at the sky, every scale standing on end. The sun was slowly disappearing behind the dark face of the moon. My tongue flicked out, scenting the air. A strong scent of pig wafted in my direction along with the sweet smell of humans. I followed the pull of the eclips towards the human scent. I heard laughing and yelling as I approached a picket fence. It was a party. People looked up at the sky through strange glasses, mouths hanging open in awe. I used to be a human once. Then something like me ruined my perfect life and dreams I had. I took a deep breath and raised myself to my full height. Tonight, I was going to have a feast.
