Out of the many inspirational leaders of mine, I have chosen Lindsey Stirling. Being a famous pop violinist, she faced many roadblocks to getting to where she is now and inspired many people around the world. The two main reasons why Lindsey Stirling is my inspirational leader are through her music and her story.
The first example of Lindsey Stirling being an inspirational leader is through her music. In her music, she brings encouragement to me to continue learning how to play the violin and push through hard times. After seeing a few music videos from Stirling on YouTube in 2010, my desire to play the violin has rekindled and wanted to be able to play her songs. A song that helped me is Don’t Let This Feeling Fade. In Don’t Let This Feeling Fade, it inspired to keep running the race of life and accept the loss when you do not win.
The other example is through her story. Stirling was able to find a way or another way past the roadblocks that life has thrown at her. In America’s Got Talent, she has made only to the quarter-finals and was discouraged, but she has found another way to Youtube. In hope for collaboration on Youtube, Devin Graham a cinematographer contacted her, and she agreed to do it. In 2016, her best friend Jason “Gavi” Gaviati has died from cancer and her father has been diagnosed with cancer. She has lost all hope and wanted to give up, but she reminded herself of her father’s saying to keep going and be brave enough to go on through the hardest time. Through her life stories, they encourage me to keep moving on through the hardest time of life and never give up on what you want to achieve.
All in all, Lindsey Stirling helped me to stay strong and be who the person I am. With her story and music, her stories show that she is also another normal human being, and her music has encouragement to many people around the world.
