They had said on the TV that tonight there was to be a 'show' of falling stars. Now everyone knew (well, so her Mum told her) that if you wished on a falling star there was ten times the chance that your wish would come true.This was because on falling the stars carried a lot more energy. She said her prayers every night so that he would be kept safe but she figured that if she could get in a wish on a falling star, well, that would cinch it. The little girl carefully set her alarm clock for the right time then when it rang she pulled on her dressing gown and crept downstairs. She could see quite clearly because there was also a full moon.Her dog had followed her, tail wagging, sniffing in an attempt to understand what was going on.. There were indeed lots of falling stars to see and she made her wish in a very solemn voice.. The following day nothing happened any differently to any other day and she was beginningto lose faith .... but then, the sound of some keys in the front door.... Could it be? She leapt up from the table where she had her homework set out and ran to the front door....Yes!!!!! She rushed into her Daddy's arms, coverng him with kisses.
