Conner made his way through the crowds, toward the fridge in search of his second beer. College parties in real life were much better than they were in movies. All around him, young adults were all up on each other, sexual desire and booze filling the air around him.
He was the youngest person at the party, the only one who was still in high school. He couldn't wait until Monday, when he could tell all his friends about how he got into a college party, and made out with lots of hot girls. Ok, the last part was a lie, no girls even looked at him, and honestly Conner wouldn't have cared if they did. Honestly, Conner wasn't sure he was attracted to anyone. He saw pretty girls, but that was as far as the feeling went. They were pretty, so what? That didn't keep Conner from dating, of course, and didn't keep him from scoring with Katy just a week ago, but it was meaningless. Sure it was sex, and that in itself was amazing, but there wasn't that special feeling that he had read about. It was just sex; he didn't see what the big deal was.
"Hey kid, you lost?" someone shouted. He chose to ignore the voice, recognizing it immediately. It was his sister's boyfriend, and in Conner's opinion, a total douche. He intentionally looked away from the direction of Chase's voice, and into the most gorgeous brown eyes he had ever seen.
There was only one problem with that, the eyes were attached to Anthony Porter, an art student who had just transferred in at the start of the new semester.
Averting his gaze after the other smiled somewhat, Conner headed off to the fridge to grab something to drink.
"You're not going to find anything in there," Chase stated. "There's only booze, and last I checked kids shouldn't be here."
Rolling his eyes, Conner closed the door, water bottle in hand, before heading back to the front room. He'd admit that the party was great, but it would've been better if Chase just disappeared altogether.
"Hey, "
Looking over his shoulder, Conner stiffened when he saw those wonderfully dark eyes, though they weren't directed towards him personally.
"Sup, Tony?"
"Who's the kid?"
"I'm-"
"No one important, just my girlfriend's annoying brother," Chase said. "He was actually just about to leave."
"Like hell I was," Conner muttered as he headed back to the living room.
Chatting idly with some of the other partygoers, Conner caught himself glancing at the brown-eyed man that was still casually chatting it up with Chase. Glancing in their generally direction when he heard the man laugh, he scowled when his head was mashed before glaring after Chase as he left the room.
