I heard him when he talked about the pills laying on the nightstand

I smelled the marijuana when he stumbled down the street

I smelled the blood pouring from her wrist

I smelled the alcohol he chugged to keep out the pain of feeling

I tasted the bitter night-time tears that no one will ever know

I tasted the words that left me as I broke her heart

I tasted the broken tongue as I held in a word

I tasted the pain of my subjects

I shook the hand of Death, then I flipped him off

I shouted the gasp-inducing heretic words at the top of my lungs to God

I sliced my wrists for the world to see

I sacrificed everything just to see her smile only for her to walk in front as if I was a subject!
