Her voice barely a soft whisper, as she sat visible still in her chair. confusion, painted elegantly on her pale face. She honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing. For a brief moment she wonder if he was serious, but his expression told her otherwise....
The man that she was married for the last 25 years is gay...and he was 'coming out' to her.
But she didn't know how to feel or think about, but that being said she couldn't shake, the initial thoughts of 'biblical indecency'. Or the insecure feelings that her position of being a wife and a mother we're lacking for all these years.
"Why?...How?" She spoke more so into her cooling cup of tea, than him.
Her eyes caught the slight motion of his head before he spoke. "I've always felt this way inside. I can't truly explain it"
"Does anyone else know?"
She saw the locked up guilt behind his brown eyes, and the slow head nod. She push the feeling of distrust aside and asked him 'who it was?'
"Our son"
She blankly stared at him and Begin to slowly stir her tea.
The sincerity of his words sliced up her very being. She sudden had a feeling that she needed something stronger than a simply cup of tea.
Bitterness and self-jugment poured through her veins while sadness laced her voice...
