Life continued on like normal. After the dance I tried my absolute best to avoid the jealousy I was feeling everyday. I couldn't shake the thing that, he was with her now. He was kissing her now. She was the girl he said "I love you" to.
She was prettier, taller, more bubbly, and just- way better than I ever was for him. I started to regret breaking up with him. Adrian seemed to sense my mood so he asked me,
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"You sure?"
"Mmhmm."
I put my head down and I heard his chair scoot away from his desk. Next thing I knew he was right beside me, rubbing my back and telling me everything was okay. I felt tears burning at the back of my eyes. I wanted to cry and tell him all about it because that's just how he made me feel. He always made me want to talk to him. He was easy to talk to. But this time, I couldn't. I hugged him and told him I was alright. He doubtfully looked at me and then returned to his seat.

The day was February 14th, Valentine's day. I don't remember if Roman and Paulina were still together or not, but when I got to school, wearing a white dress with gold glitter mixed into the poofy part of the dress. I got to school and immediately saw Adrian. He was wearing a red plaid dress shirt and black jeans. I got up to him and hugged him from behind. When he turned around and grinned down at me (because I was shorter) I got a wave of his scent just radiating in the air.
I don't know what it was but Adrian always smelled so good. He smelled like cologne but not too much to where it makes your head hurt. Roman and Adrian both smelled really good all the time but they smelled totally opposite. Every time I'd hug Roman I could smell whatever gel he'd put in his hair or cologne and I never purposefully inhaled their scent either so I'm not trying to be creepy. I just- know how people smell.
I smiled up at Adrian and he handed me a rose and a box of chocolates. I loved it. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he instantly put his on my waist. It was perfect.
All day was giving people things and loads of love in the air. I don't know if this was just me or not but I could sense people's mood or their energy. I know it sounds really weird but I really can. I read moods, energy, and body language really well. It's just something I've always done really well. There's only a few people I can't do that with.
I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist from behind and put their head on top of mine and without even glancing up, I knew it was Adrian. I started thinking about how much I loved him when I felt someone looking at me. Sure enough, it was Roman. For the first time, I couldn't read his face. He was with Analise now. I knew this wasn't right but I found myself missing Roman. His smile, all the jokes he would tell, his freckles, the way his hair always seemed perfect even without anything in it. His hugs, his kisses..him. I missed him so much. but the school year was almost over. It was too late. Today was the last day of 6th grade. So much happened over the year, all the relationships, all the new ones, the new kids, the drama...and now this year was coming to a close. I wasn't coming back next year. Tomorrow, at Natalie's house she was hosting a pool party. For everyone in the class. Adrian was going to be there, Alex, Rickieann, Roman, Analise, Mia, Lee, and Natalie of course.
We cried some all day, laughed, and relived old memories. Then the day was over. All too quick. Alex called for us to come into a group hug and we complied. While in the hug, Adrian and Roman counted to three and turned their heads slightly to kiss Analise and I. Of course, they both missed and kissed the side of our mouths, our cheeks, or foreheads. Anywhere than our lips. I laughed a little while Adrian kissed my cheek, realized he missed and tried again. Adrian tried two times before getting my lips. He was adorable. I didn't know why I wanted Roman so much when he was right in front of me. And right in front of me I'd hoped he'd stay.

I texted Natalie while getting ready into my bathing suit, doing my hair, and putting on no makeup because it was probably going to run while I was in the water anyway. I had to put on a one piece because I have the most strict family. It was white, with pink, green, and blue neon stripes and a green lace like thing over the top of it. It was prto me but I didn't really want to wear that one.
My Nina came to pick me up and take me to her house. I typed in the address on Google Maps and she knew exactly where to go after that. I already know the way to her house, this wasn't my first time being there, but my Nina didn't really trust that much.
When we got there, my Nina walked with me up the walkway and to the door. Her parents were the ones who answered and when I stepped inside, I looked out the sliding door and saw Natalie walking out of the pool gates with Rickieann behind her and Roman in front of her. I said hi to her parents and stood there hugging Natalie's little brother Alexandro until Natalie walked inside and hugged me tightly. My Nina politely said she had to go and I said bye to her before going to put my stuff in Natalie's room before finally walking outside. A whole swarm of insecurities swept over me as soon as I walked out of those sliding glass doors. Today was going to be interesting.

When everyone was there we got into the pool and let me tell you, it was cold. When us girls got out, the boys pulled us, and I'm not kidding pulled us and carried us back in. I had fun.
And then Adrian called me over. He wanted to sneak a kiss in. So he told me to act like I was going to the bathroom and he'd meet me there. I walked into the bathroom and turned on the light before standing in front of the mirror with a feeling of butterflies in my stomach. It seemed like ages before Adrian finally walked in. He smiled at me and signaled for me to be quiet. I smiled back at him and I couldn't believe how amazing he was. He slowly walked in front of me and put his hands on my waist, gripping it slightly. He looked down at me and then back up to my eyes.

I let out a shaky breath,
"No. Of course not-"
"Okay then."
He counted to three on his fingers and pressed his lips to mine. I instantly kissed him back and wrapped my arms around his neck. He deepened the kiss if that was even possible and started kissing me with tongue. I felt my legs grow weak and when we finally pulled away I looked up at him and felt the same feeling I had reflecting in his deep brown eyes. He pecked my lips one more time and rested his forehead on mine. After a small laugh from him I asked,
"What?"
"You taste like ice cream."
Now here's the thing, right before we got to where we are now, back outside, we were eating ice cream.
"You too." I laughed and he let go of my waist.
"We've been in here too long. Someone's going to say something. He turned off the lights before leaving to make it seem like he'd just gotten out of the bathroom, because Natalie's dad was just right there in the kitchen. I waited a bit before getting out myself just as Analise walked in the house. She looked at me and winked and said,
"Spill."

We walked up the stairs into the upstairs bathroom and I told her everything.
"He said I tasted like ice cream."
"He said you tasted like ice cream?" She echoed.
"Yesssssss." It was amazing.

I turned to face the wall and when she was done, I had to go too. Since my bathing suit was a one piece I had to slide it off. Leaving me with no bra and basically completely naked in front of her. I grabbed a towel and covered myself with it and someone knocked.
The person just walked right in and in shock, I dropped the towel. Roman's little brother saw me and Analise closed the door in his face before he could comment.
We hurried and left the bathroom and went back out into the party. Roman stopped me before I could go back sitting next to Adrian and I leaned down as he was in the pool.
"Adrian said you guys made out in the bathroom. Is this true?"
I don't know what it was but based off the way he was looking at me, I lied and said,
"He said that? No we didn't."
He gave me a weird look and I knew he knew I was lying. I forced my eyes to meet his and I just saw a mix of hurt, anger, and sadness.

When everyone was gone, us girls were left. Natalie, Analise, Mia, Rickieann and me. At around 10:00 Rickieann had to go and it was us 4 left. We had a sleepover and talked about our boys. Natalie's Aedon, Mia's Alex, Analise's Roman, and my Adrian. It was fun.
