TRANS GROUP was where I found myself on a Saturday night.
I was dressed in black overalls that blended perfectly with the interior and wall colours. Sally was in front of me, wearing the same outfit. She was walking like she owns this building which made me antsy.
My feet barely made a sound on the cold granite. I wanted to be as invisible as possible so that if something complicates things, which I was positive would be the case, I could make my escape.
Sally rounded a corner and motioned with her left palm to stop walking and I obeyed her without a second thought. My heart was pounding erratically against my rib cage and I was scared I was going to faint.
She leaned against the wall. Her dark hair was caged in a black hoodie. There was no form of light on her, unlike me, who opted out for a blue hoodie to Sally's annoyance.
I contemplated following her lead but thought better of it. She told me to stop walking and not to move around. I subconsciously turned my neck to the side, trying to see why we were rooted to the spot and if we were going to get caught.
"What are you doing?" Sally snapped in a quiet voice.
"Sorry." My voice sounded abnormally loud in the quiet room, causing both I and Sally to cringe.
She reached out her hands, trying to pull me towards the wall but I freaked out, causing my right foot to hit something and I half screamed as I tumbled down the granite floor.
"Oh shit," Sally swore.
"Who is there?" A hard male voice queried.
I swallowed. I shouldn't have come here. It was all Sally's idea of an adventure. Now, we're in a hot mess. These people were ruthless.
"I'm afraid you're on your own." With an apologetic look, she tiptoed out of the room.
In spite of the mess I was currently swimming in, I imagined her been a spider crawling through the walls.
"Don't you dare leave me here." I threatened but it was too late. She was gone.
I tried to run but tripped once more. This wasn't happening, or was it?
NEVER GO INTO SOMETHING BLINDLY. THIS IS REALLY A LESSON FOR MOST OF US THAT QUICKLY FOLLOWS A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TO AN OUTING, WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT IT ENTAILS. HOW DO YOU VIEW SALLY?
