Lili knew the only way to be forgiven was to get everyone the inflatable island with the motor. But how could she pay for it? She brainstormed in her head different ways to get it:
1. Trade out everything they were currently riding on, the jet ski would be of most value.
2. Offer to transport something, or someone, to Klansonville in exchange for the inflatable island.
3. Plead our desperate case and hope they let us use it, and mail it back to them along with money.
4. Hope some rich viewer of my vlog finds us in the river and gives us the money(Or a deluxe boat)
5. Magically find a bottle with a treasure map that can lead us to more than enough money to pay for the inflatable island.
Then as if it were fate,
”Is that a bottled letter?” Lili asked.
She picked it up, and it said To Julia
Dear Julia, this is your pen pal! Gabriella! Hopefully my bottle message reaches you, I know in the past we haven’t had the best luck on our bottle messages making it to each other. Anyway, for your birthday I made you a river scavenger hunt since you love kayaking. All of the clues are hidden in Sampson’s cove. Look by The smALL trees. Hope you find the hidden treasure!
Hint: It’s a $450 visa gift card, sorry if it’s too much, but I’m kind of spoiled rich!
Yours truly, Gabriella233Please respect copyright.PENANAITR3rUredO
Lili knew she obviously had to choose the most fun option, and go on the treasure hunt. And not only could she buy extra food with a $450 visa but she could also help pay for a newer, better phone for her mother.
Lili noticed the ‘ALL’ in small was capitalized, she knew that must have meant she needed to look by all of the small trees.
She also knew that she couldn’t search for a hidden treasure alone, she made a list of everyone she should bring along and why.
Myself, I’ve been doing escape rooms, puzzles, reading mystery books and watching mystery shows since I was like, 6. Plus I can get more viewers if I vlog the hunt, and apologize to whoever Julia is!
Raynn, she’s very intelligent, smart, and she’s kayaked in Sampson’s cove before.233Please respect copyright.PENANAaMzM0Y3rKk
Conner and Cayden, they’ll annoy me crazily if they find out I went on a treasure hunt without them. Plus their smallness and craftiness can be used to my advantage.
Four people was enough for Lili, she didn’t want to attract any more attention than she already had.
She paddled over to Raynn and showed her the bottle. She agreed to help her, and then they called over Conner and Cayden. Not only did they agree to help immediately, but they also had a plan on how to get away without anyone questioning them.
“Mom, where’s Sampson’s cove?” Cayden asked.
”A couple of miles away, why?” Zoe replied.
“I just remember learning something in school about a bunch of abandoned boats being washed up on Sampson’s cove.” Cayden responded.
”Our teacher said the current and rain washed the boats to a part hidden from the rest of the island, she even showed us a map!” Conner added.
”I think I remember where the boats were washed, maybe we could go to Sampson’s cove.” Cayden suggested.
“I should come with you, I know my way around Sampson’s cove.” Raynn said.
”Me too, I’m in the weight lifting club at school so I have muscular endurance.” Lili added.
“Can the four of us go?” Conner asked.
”I guess so, you can go ahead and take the jet ski, we’ll be there in a little over an hour.” Lance said.
They all fit on the jet ski, Raynn in front, then Conner, Cayden, and Lili was in the back.
Raynn put the speed up to the max, 75 mph, and they arrived in roughly two minutes.
Once they got to the cove, they saw that only a couple of trees were tall and everything else was small, this would be a lot harder than they thought.
Suddenly, they saw a family of four emerging from the waterfall.
“Help us, please!” The father pleaded while holding a wooden box and shining amulet.
