Cimberly locked the door. “Stop, Mom! I’m still—doing my homework!” She yelled, though she knew it was not true. She was looking over Reala’s texts. It seemed years since they were separated, she thought. But just a few weeks ago, Reala seemed to have given Cimberly a text message—“Stop texting and my oh my NO FRIEND FOR ME!” Cimberly was not so sure what had happened, so she asked Reala. Reala was taking a class when Cimberly biked to her house, and Cimberly misunderstood her—she thought Reala was avoiding confrontation. Like a gust of wind she biked away, not wanting to be seen from Reala again. But the truth is, Reala has a sibling, Tyler. He was young and was not at the age of going to school yet, and when Reala was away from her phone, he quickly tapped on the black words above the keyboard, some of them with caps lock. But little did he know that Reala was texting to Cimberly, and he was the cause of their sudden break of friendship.
