Today is the Big Day in the Praja Kingdom. You know why?
Because our king Inayat Kaleel is going to introduce his daughters to the world. Yes, it is so special because no one in the kingdom has ever met his daughters and they are brought up all away inside his palace. Even the Gurus (Teachers) are not allowed to see the faces of his daughters and whenever they come out to the temple, four women will cover them with a thick white veil and no men would be allowed to pass by the way at that time.
If anyone dares to look at daughters of Inayat Kaleel then he will cut off the head and hang the same in front of the east door of the Palace. Inayat Kaleel is not a cruel man nor a brutal ruler by nature, but when it comes to his daughters, he won't spare anyone. The Raani of the Praja Kingdom is Hamshal Devi and she only shows up at the time of the Jyothi Festival. She is a fair woman with a bright smile and one can say how beautiful her daughters might be, by seeing her face itself. Tomorrow is the Jyothi Festival where the whole kingdom will gather in one place and throw colors on each other. After some time, the deepam (Light) will be lit in the front top of the palace and once the deepam is visible, all the people will bath in the holy river Bhavi and then lit the deepam in their respective homes. The deepam in the palace is always lit by the Raani Hamshal Devi and this festival is celebrated to bring the joy and colors to the life of Praja's people.
The Raaja announced that people should gather before the palace on the day before the Jyothi Festival and that why people are here with much joy and curiosity is evident in their eyes for seeing the princesses for the first time. Soon the drums are beaten to denote the arrival of Raaja and he walks on the stage provided before the palace with all his glory. He addressed the people of his kingdom and soon the ministers and the Raani are welcomed following by the drums' sound. " I know people are very interested to see my daughters for the first time in their life. I don't consider anything big in my life other than you(people) and my daughters. Now I would like to announce one of the biggest news to this kingdom. Yes... I am going to give my daughter's hand in marriage to the most successful charming prince of the Kingdom Thilwar and the marriage will be held in Jyothi Madha Temple next year on the auspicious day of Jyothi Festival" The king told with his hands in the air and people started to clap their hands to show their happiness and satisfaction in his decision.
Thilwar is the adjacent kingdom to Praja and Praja and Thilwar are inseparable since both will help each other at the time of any crisis. The Prince of Thilwar is the most charming and handsome groom that one girl can ever dream of. Nikhilan Varma is the prince of the Thilwar Kingdom and no one can ever dare to look at him straight into his eyes. He is one of the daring personality and he can't tolerate when someone wins over him. Either it is game or war, Nikhilan Varma will be the winner otherwise the winner will be dead by his hands. Nikhilan Varma never seen the princesses of Praja Kingdom but he heard that princesses were brought up very protectively inside the walls of the palace and their beauty will make anyone go speechless. When the king of Praja Kingdom offered him to ask for any favor in return for the help he has done before, Nikhilan Varma got a perfect chance to ask the hands of one of his daughters in marriage. Inayat Kaleel doesn't find any reason to reject him but at the same time he really has no idea on whom to get married to Nikhilan Varma.
The sounds of Ekkalam (it is an instrument which looks like a giant straight saxophone which is blown to welcome the God usually) is reaching the sky when the doors of the palace opened and it started raining with flowers to celebrate the arrival of princesses. The attention of the entire crowd is attracted to the huge doors and there stand two angels in human form. People couldn't take their eyes off because no one has ever witnessed such an angelic beauty before in their life. They wore a golden silk dress that matched perfectly with their glowing skin. The king introduced his angels as " Here my eyes are standing beside me and I am very glad and proud to introduce them to the people of Kingdom Praja, SHE IS LEELA AND SHE IS LAILA" he paused with a smile and points his finger towards the seat where they are supposed to be settled down.
That when the people noticed that Leela and Laila are non-identical twins but at the same time each one is beautiful in their own way. Now they are waiting for another big announcement that the prince gets married to whom? Sensing the meaning of their silence the king continued "My Daughter Laila will be getting married to the Charming Prince of Thilwar Kingdom" he turns towards his daughter Leela and said "soon the groom for Leela will be announced in the same manner and you people can expect the grand marriages of my daughters on the same day" he let out a pride smile and the same was also on the face of Hamshal Devi.
Little did they know that someone important is also present in the mass crowd witnessing the beauty adorning the dais.
