A week has passed since that night. Aedden and Fayrin had been called before the council. The council was down five members; Gael of the Authority Highsgard, Kaeeon of the Naturists Guardians, Ghur and Thoren Council Representatives, and Vernael the Council Elder. Though all of the High 13 were intended targets, these five were the ones killed, assassinated.

Fayrin had finally healed up and was itching for a fight. He was hoping that things were still on track for him to hunt the Ringmaster as he met with Aedden and the two walked into the council chambers.

Unlike last time, every member was visible and not a shadow anymore. Taerick was seated at a different chair than before. When the two entered the center of the room he spoke,

"Welcome back. Plans have changed due to the recent attack on our own grounds."
Taerick picked up something and threw it to Aedden. Aedden caught it and looked confused. It was an Authority badge, different than the one given to him before.

"Congratulations commander," Taerick said as a look of shock came over Fayrin and Aedden, "You'll be giving the other badge I gave you to Fayrin."

Aedden reached in his pocket and pulled out the other badge and handed it to Fayrin. The two were still confused as to what was going on.

"We don't take this likely," came a women's voice. Although she was sitting you could tell she was a very tall and thin woman. Her golden hair parted back to the side in a bun. This was Nymm of the Restorative Faction. She went on,

"Aedden is an expert class efficiency user with no one on his level of that element. We don't know why he left, but he's back and will accept this responsibility. As for Fayrin, you were right. All this time, we should have listened. There was a real threat."

"That's what we get for letting Gael run this place like he was in charge of it all," said a sarcastic sounding man. It was Eldrien of the Authority Wardens. He had short slicked back black hair and a goatee.

"And so," Taerick interjected to stay on point, "Your mission hasn't changed. It's just official. You're going to recruit a team and take out this sumbitch before anything like this could ever happen again."

For the first time in a long time, Fayrin smiled. Just like that, things were going his way. He had status and his resolve to end the Ringmaster had support. Aedden stared at his badge and put it in his pocket. It still didn't seem to mean much to him, but he was now the youngest commander to ever exist in Legion.

"So nothing's changed in terms of what's next?" asked Fayrin.

"No. You know you're not ready and my suggestion on moving forward is the same. You'll visit the mercenary of the Weapon's Guild. I know you can learn from him," Taerick instructed and gestured at one of the other members that then stood up.

It was a woman, the youngest looking of the High 13. She had white hair despite probably being in her late twenties. Her skin was tan which really made her white hair and green eye really pop. Her left eye was covered by a black eyepatch and she wore a white and gold battle dress. It was a type of armor someone used to battle would definitely wear. Taerick went on,

"This is Respier, commander of the Weapon's Guild. When we're done here and you're ready to go, you'll accompany her to the Weapon's Guild headquarters to find the mercenary Reaper."

The two looked at her as she gave them a thumbs up, but seemed to have a dead vacant stare like she didn't want to do any of it. All the other members then stood and the meeting was over.
