Bright light. Birds. Grass.
Gracie's eyes finally opened after a few tense moments. Her eyes met one of the most vibrant greens she's ever seen; so rich to the point that it took her eyes some time to adjust.
"Did I just pass out?" Were the first few words that managed to pass her lips. She slowly sat to a sitting position, taking in the scenery around her.
Everything was so.. magical. From the shade of the grass, to the sound of the birds, even the air around her seemed to glow with some weird magical glaze. Gracie shook her head; what she was seeing couldn't have been real. She's only seen a place as magical as this in her dreams!
Looking down onto her own frame, she was wearing similar armor that Hanna had, but it was white with a royal purple. She slowly brought her hands up to her head, and within her curls she could feel a small tiara.
Speaking of Hanna, where was she?
"Uh.. Hanna? Where are you?" She asked into the air, realizing that her friend was gone. She started to get scared. Was she dead? Gracie struggled to get up, the armor that she was wearing was way heavier than it seemed. By the time she got up she was a little out of breath.
Hanna emerged from the perimeter of forest that was around the clearing, a visible frown on her face.
"This can't be real." Gracie laughed to herself, wondering if she was roofied or if she was just dreaming. Hanna let a long sigh escape her lips, briskly meeting Gracie in the middle of the clearing.
"The perimeter is safe, though we haven't landed in the right destination," Hanna said to Gracie, while reaching in her pocket and pulling out small multi-colored orbs, which quickly reminded Gracie of those little balls in the bottom of the bubble tea that she buys at the mall. "I really need to get this checked out."
"Where are we, and where is my house?" Gracie asked, not wanting to entertain Hanna's little joke any longer. She was starting to worry for her friend. Either Hanna was finally starting to lose it or she was on drugs. The hard stuff.
"You really don't remember this place?" Hanna asked, incredulous. Gracie shook her head no.
"What do you mean, remember? I've never been here before in my life!" Gracie exclaimed, throwing her hands up into the air.
Hanna looked at Gracie for a long moment, then heaved a heavy sigh and looked away. Then she did something that Gracie was used to; pulled her hands through her hair in confusion.
"We need to go," Hanna said after a minute, while pulling another orb out of her belt and handing it to Gracie. "You need to eat this."
"I'm not eating that! Where did that even come from? What's it gonna do to me?" Gracie exclaimed, and took a few steps away from Hanna. Hanna followed her.
