I sat up and picked up my phone, seeing that my alarm was gonna go off in a few minutes so I turned it off.
I took a quick shower and blowdried my hair.
I went downstairs and fixed a quick breakfast, some yogurt, granola, and fruit.
A small girl with curly blonde hair walked in. "Did you eat the last of the pineapple?" Jennessa asked.
I shook my head, looking at my phone to see what people had said in the replies of the band's last tweet. "Botton shelf in the fridge."
A lot of them were questions about the tour or the boys, who we hadn't even met yet.
Just a couple of texts exchanged.
I finished eating and went back to my room to pack and get ready.
I'd be on tour for about 3 months, with breaks so I only needed clothes for a month, I was able to fit everything in a large suitcase and a duffle bag, and my mini backpack I used as a purse.
I finished packing and got dressed. I picked out a black lace-trimmed crop top and jean skirt since it was going to be hot in LA later today.
My mom helped me put everything in the trunk of my car.
I'd be driving my friends, my mother, and I down to LA so My mom could drive my car back.
We got to around 3 and checked into the hotel.
I was sharing a room with Emmy while Josh and Aidan shard the adjoining room.
I went out onto the balcony and looked at the city.
I planned on moving here after the tour since I had graduated. I always loved the city and it made sense for all of us to live in LA.
Josh moved here in January since he graduated the year before, Aidan moved in with him a couple of weeks after Josh after he started homeschooling. Emmy was planning on moving after she graduated.
I looked back at my mom who was making sure I had everything in my bags. "Mom, I made sure 3 times before we left the house."
"I wanna make sure in case I need to drive back down before you guys leave for your flight."
She looked at me. "Passport?"
"Pocket next to the boots,"
She opened the pocket and looked at my passport. "Charger?"
"In my pocket, I was using it in the car."
She looked at Emmy. "You got your passport, hun?"
"Yeah," Emmy said as she stared at her phone.
"You got your meds?" My mom asked me.
I sighed. "Yeah, mom."
"Ok, I'm gonna call Grace and make sure everything is finalized."
I sat on the bed as she went out onto the balcony, closing the door behind her.
"You're on meds again?" Emmy asked.
"She meant my birth control and ibuprofen."
Emmy tilted her head as if she didn't believe me.
God, she's nosy.
"Yeah, fine, don't tell the guys. I don't want them to worry."
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah. I just thought I should start taking them again in case the pressure gets to me."
Emmy sat down next to me. "Probably a good idea."
I rolled my eyes. This was none of her business, even if she was one of my best friends. I didn't want to talk to her about it right now.
I stood up. "I'm gonna go down to the lobby and see if there's anything fun to do around here." I grabbed my bag and left before she could say anything.
I got down to the lobby and sat in one of the chairs, throwing my legs over the arms and pulling a book out of my bag.
I was down there for about 10 minutes before I heard someone say my name.
I looked up and saw a tall man with a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a leather duffle bag over his shoulder.
"Sorry, do I know you?"
He reached up and took his glasses off.
I laid my book over my knee. "Oh, hi," I said, smiling softly as I felt my heart speed up.
Luke Hemmings was standing in front of me.
He chuckled. "Hey, I'm Luke."
I looked at his extended hand.
"I know," I laughed as I shook his hand.
"Right, yeah. Of course. Where're your... um, friends?"
"They're in their hotel rooms, I just needed some quiet." I lifted the book. "Been trying to read this for a month." I lied.
Luke laughed. "I get that. The guys never shut up. It just gets worse on tour so you might wanna take your time down here." He gestured to the check-in desk, where his three bandmates and a couple of others were.
I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
I laughed as I marked the page and closed my book. "They're probably gonna come looking for me in a bit."
"Luke,"
He looked over at his friends.
Ashton walked over and handed Luke a key card. "Room 215,"
I looked up at the two. "That's right across from us."
Ashton looked at me and smiled. "Oh, hi."
I smiled back at him.
"You down here by yourself?" He asked.
I held my book up.
Ashton chuckled.
"Well, I guess we'll see you later?" Luke asked.
I nodded.
The two boys followed the rest of their group to the elevators.
I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that someone had sent me a picture.
The picture was a girl wearing a leather skirt and lace bra, posing in front of a mirror.
'I miss you' Natalia's text read.
I typed out a reply. 'Cute, is that my skirt?'
She sent back a winking emoji.
I locked my phone and went back up to my room.
Emmy was watching something on the TV while my mom was talking to Josh.
"Guess who I ran into in the lobby?"
Aidan, Josh, and my mom looked at me. Yet Emmy kept staring at the TV.
"Who?" My mom asked.
"Luke Hemmings,"
"Really?"
"Yeah, he and Ashton have the room across the hall."
Emmy looked at me.
I knew she had a crush on Ashton.
"Seriously?" She asked.
I chuckled.
"Should we go say hi or something?" Aidan asked.
I shrugged, sitting down next to him. "Maybe give 'em a bit to settle in first."
I took my notebook out of my suitcase and kicked the top to close it.
I flipped through the pages of both finished and unfinished songs and found the last one I had been working on.
I read over the words I had written.

Aidan laid his head on my shoulder.
"Every time I run away, it catches up somehow." He said quietly.
I wrote what he said. "But I've been learning what to say, so I talk myself down" I continued.
"Get a room, you too," Emmy said, looking at us.
There was a knock on the door.
My mom went over and opened the door.
"Uh, sorry. I think we have the wrong room." I heard a boy say.
I got off the bed, handing the notebook to Aidan. I peeked behind my mom and saw Luke, Ashton, and the other two boys.
"Nah, you have the right one." I went over to the door. "This is my mom."
She smiled at the boys before she moved, going out onto the balcony with her phone in hand.
I let the boys into the room.
"I assume you guys know who they are?" I asked my friends.
They all agreed in some form.
"Great, we know who you are."
