Aris followed closely towards Teresa, trailing right after her heels, resisting the urge to slam his fists into her back again and again. "You can wait in your room. There'll be some food for you," she said, shoving him inside. "I'm really sorry, but you have to trust me." Her gaze flickered down to his bandaged hands. "Nothing's going to work effectively if your memories--"
"But you've already run quite a few experiments on me!" he shouted. "Isn't that enough?" Teresa stared at him, before welcoming herself into his room and a guard strode into the room, unfolding the two chairs. She settled herself into one of the chairs and gestured for the other chair.
"As Janson has informed you of, you will no longer participate in the Trials, because they're over. So, just agree with it, and you won't be part of WICKED, anymore," Teresa said, a plea in her voice. "Aris, you'll be preserving the human race, which is almost extinct. By undergoing and eliminating the Swipe, you'll complete Phase Three." She grinned at him, a devilish smile on her lips.
Aris arched his brows, watching as Teresa rested her hands in her lap, the long lab coat concealing her knees. His mistrust of her only escalated, something was very suspicious. Would WICKED let him go so easily? Free him from the torture and oppression for once and for all? The thought of being in WICKED's hands, if he didn't fight back, seemed like a possibility, not to mention how high it seemed.
Teresa shook her head in disappointment and drew back the chair. "I'll allow you to consider it, I have to go pay Subject A7 now." She excused herself from his room, but before she closed the door, she peered into his eyes desperately once again. "You're going to assist us, Aris. So many people are succumbing to this terrible virus, and you're the key to the cure."

Aris sat on his knees, thinking over his decision. Dinner was just a plate of macaroni and cheese again, which he dumped in the sink. If he'd remembered memories, would he be more willing to cooperate? His mind rushed back frantically to the time when Mary was shot and died in Vince's arms. Why would he agree on cooperating with them once, when these people were nothing, but brutish, heartless creatures?
He drifted off right on the floor, but when he swam back to consciousness, Janson was at the door, watching him, nearly causing him to have a heart attack right there. He chuckled lightly. "I'm afraid we need you to undergo and remove your Swipe. Chancellor Paige is very desperate; the cases of the Flare is surging. We must do it. I'm very sorry, Aris, but you have to apprehend and understand."
"Fine." Aris stepped up to Janson, who offered a tender smile and gave an approving pat on the shoulder. "Let's go." He stalked out of the room, feeling Janson beam at him. He could flee once they were inside the operation room and figure out what he could do. He'd even snatch a Launcher if possible.
A few minutes later, they arrived, and the medical staff hefted him onto the operation table. Janson must have sensed that Aris wanted to flee, for he tapped on a guard's shoulder, and the female guard fired a Launcher, causing him to lose consciousness instantly.
Author's Note: I know the chapters are short. I'm just so excited to end the trilogy! So, there might be a lot of time-skips. This is a crazy adventure for me to write up all these chapters! Thanks for reading!
