I was walking in the middle of the hallway, hands in my pocket and my ear pods in both my ears when my head lifted itself up then- I saw her. I stopped there and just stood still for a reason I didn’t even understand. As she passed me my eyes followed her.
I looked down then shook my head saying ‘what’s wrong with me’ in my head.
I proceeded to the classroom then sat on my chair as I placed down my bag.
I saw her pass down the hallway close to our classroom then I looked at her yet again. Just before I knew it she entered our classroom.

I could hear the other girls mutter about her, I heard someone say “Did you hear that she’s a foster kid” my eyes widened then looked at her but I immediately looked away when I noticed her eyes were slowly looking at me.
As the school bell rang she quickly stood up and grabbed her back then made her way out of the classroom. Then I thought of something- I followed her, I mean- That’s what everyone does nowadays right? Anyway I grabbed my bag and followed her. I hid at the side of a locker but then- someone tapped my shoulder “What are you doing?” it was Kim Jih-yo, my classmate “Uh- n-nothing I was just- um-” I looked at the locker “I-I thought this was mine” I scratched the back of my head “Uh-huh” she pointed her on my forehead “Ya’ know this is the first time I’ve ever heard you talk” she made a ‘tsk-tsk’ sound with her mouth “W-what’s your problem with that?” I tried to avoid eye contact “Is that how you socialize? Didn’t your parents teach you to go to the market alone when you we’re a kid? They say they do that to help kids socialize, but in your case your parents doesn’t seem to care” she gave a big dumb laugh. My eyes widened. I Pushed her away then ran away. As I ran I felt something roll down m y cheeks. I stopped by the tree in the field and sat there, I touched my face then I realized those were tears- Why did I have to remember that now?
But- I felt someone touch my face, I slowly looked up and saw Choi Min-seo touching my cheeks as she smiled “What happened?” my face felt hot “Nothing” I looked away. She crouched beside me then said “Don’t you realize you’re blushing?” then gave a slight laugh. My eyes widened. She touched my ears and said “These are red too” then smiled “Want to get some ice cream later?” I looked at her then nodded “What about- now?”
“Wow, you can cut class?” she made an impressed look,
“You think this is my first time?” I laughed,
“Well? What are you waiting for?” She said. We both picked up our bags then sneaked out of the school.

She handed me a cup of tteokbokki “Here, 1+1 deal” I smiled at her then went to counter and paid for the tteokbokki. “Why did you do that? It was suppose to be my treat” she pouted “At least you saved money” I laughed slightly “good point” just before we knew it someone was calling us just outside the store.
“HEY! Shouldn’t you be in class?” Mr. Moon called us. We looked at each other in fear.

“Wow, whose place is this?” she asked me “Mine-” she looked around “Guess your parents are pretty rich” she sat on my couch so I crashed in with her “Actually they are but-” I looked away “Wait- don’t tell me your parents are- dead?” I nodded, she patted my shoulder then said “Don’t worry- at least you have all their money to your self” I looked at her in disgust ‘I know you’re trying to comfort me but I didn’t know you were this bad’. Just then her eyes widened “I’m sorry- Forget I said that” I didn’t know how she realized but I first thought it was the disgusted look but it was something else- tears poured down my cheeks. Min-seo grabbed a tissue then wiped my face “Look- uh- Are you hungry? Let’s eat” she grabbed the tteokbokki then went into the kitchen.
I balled my fists then laid flat on my back. By the time the tteokbokki was ready I stood up then ate with Min-seo.
“By the way I never caught your name” she told me, my eyes widened I’ve never realized that I was with this girl but I never even told her my name “M-my name’s Kang Tae-in” She smiled at me then reached her hands “Nice to meet you” I shook her hand.
I walked her to the bus stop and just stood there as she stepped on the bus. “Bye” I waved at her.
When I got home, I sat on my bed then sighed in relief “A girl was in my apartment” I smiled delightfully. Just before I knew It I received a call from my co-worker so I obviously answered it.
“Hey” I said
“Dude you’ve got to get here ASAP” it sounded urgent so I dropped the call, got dressed and went to the cafe I work part-time at.
I opened the door of the cafe and found my co-worker laughing his and catching his breath “DUDE?!” I shouted at him “I’m sorry” he kept on laughing “but this is the first time you’ve ever talked” he said “you always ignore my calls ya’ know” he added “Shut up” I wore my apron then got to work.
“Bah- don’t even bother coming inside” Kang-min glared at the person that seemed to be interested into going in the Cafe “Don’t you dare” Kang-min said when the guy was about to touch the handle on the door but he must’ve changed his mind when he turned around.377Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡjjo86r66Y0
“YES!” Kang-min tasted his sweet victory I was getting annoyed so I hit his head with my mighty hand “Get to work” I balled my fists “Sorry” he scratched the back of his head.
