Someone was poking my face. My hand tries to swat the finger away. Giggles fill my ears. Groggily I open my eyes and look up.

Oh no, I groan. I could not help but laugh. "Hahahah!" I wrap my stomach with my hands to shield myself but failed. The other children laugh amused and joins, poking me there too. This made me laugh harder, so hard that I cried. Suddenly I force my body to sit up straight, trying to avoid their pokes.
"That's enough! Please I can't take it anymore.". My sudden outburst made them stop but they look confuse like they did not understand what I said.
"Do you guys understand me?". I ask.

She looks the same in the picture I have of her in my wallet. Dark deep brown hair with almond shape eyes. A slender oval face with perfect tan skin but her eyes are not brown like the picture. They were red and her clothes looks so fancy, like she was upperclass. Her hair has ornaments that looks like gold. In her hand she holds a beautiful strong bow.
She looks down at me with serious eyes and starts speaking to me.
It was not English she used but a language I never heard before and yet I understand completely what she was saying.
"Who are you? And what are you doing here? Only the people who wish to serve Solaris and Aura are welcome to this residence.".
My body grew anxious. "I am sorry, I..I..". My hand quickly claps over my mouth. What are the words coming out from my mouth! It's not English.
The children make way for my cousin as she comes closer to me. She bends down beside me. The she raises her hand towards me. My body flinch, afraid what she may do but was surprise that she gently removes my hand from my mouth. Slowly my eyes looks up at her. She does not look angry anymore. Then she begins to speak to me.
"I did not mean to frighten you child but this place is a holy place and not a playground.".
I nod, showing that I understand. My cousin then continues on asking "What is your name child?"
"Dawn.." I reply shyly while playing with my hair.
My cousin smiles "What a beautiful name. Dawn, the first appearance of daylight in the morning".
My cheeks blush from her compliment.
"Do you know where your parents are?" my cousin asks.
Now I feel sad. Suddenly I look down and squeeze my hands together. I shook my head no.
"Where was the last time you saw them here?".
My eyes looks up at her warily. "I don't know...."
My cousin looks perplexed. "Do you know where your home is?".
I shook my head swiftly. "I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!" I shouted scared.
My eyes have tears in them now realizing have no one here in this place.
"It is ok, you can stay with us , until your parents come looking for you. How does that sound?" My cousin gently explains. I give her a small smile and say thank you.

The children groan. "Can't we play just a little longer". Lady Peace sternly shook her head no.
The children proceed to walk in the direction of the temple. Lady Peace looks back to me and holds out her hand. "Let us go Dawn". Eagerly I reach for her hand and hold it tightly and follow her footsteps. My lips grew into a smile. I slowly look down to prevent Lady Peace from seeing me crying. I was not crying because I was sad. It was because I was happy. This made me feel like when I was a kid, my cousin would take me out for walks at the park with our hands holding together and we just talk about random stuff.
Quickly I rub my eyes with other hand to stop myself from crying. My eyes look up at Lady Peace and I follow her to the temple of Solaris and Aura.

We were going up a hill and what lies above of me was beautiful. My eyes were amazed to how cool the temple looks like. It was humongous and had pillars like the Greek building in the old times. It was three stories high and it looks like there were three separate buildings but were connected to each other by bridges.
Then I look in front of me and there was a steep long wide set of stairs going up to the temples. It looks very tiring. The problem is that I am a sedentary person and did not do much exercising besides riding my bike from time to time. The other children went up the stairs with ease. I swallow nervously. In my mind I gave myself a prep talk in my mind.
Come on Dawn, if those kids can do it you can do it. It's just stairs. Just stairs Dawn, gravity can't hold you down. Just one step at a time.
Lady Peace looks down at me. "Is there something wrong Dawn?"
I let out a nervous laugh. "No nothing at all, Lady Peace". Lady Peace raise her eyebrow as not believing me.
"Are you sure?" she asks. I nod my head up and down, stating yes. Then I gave her a big smile.
Lady Peace grins. "Oh ok then." She gently tug my hand to follow her up the stairs.
Ok Dawn one step at a time.

One step at a time! What was I saying. Gravity can hold me down. I secretly wish for an escalator or an elevator. They have dragons here, why can't they have escalators. I cried inside my head.
I was not even yet in the middle of the stairs and I was already have a hard time to breathe. Lady Peace waited patiently beside me.
"Dawn come one, lets keep going". Lady Peace tugs me to follow.
My eyes look up at her pleadingly "Lady Peace, please just a few more minutes to catch my breathe".
Lady Peace shook her head no. "After 30 more steps then you can rest again. You only pass 15 steps, there is many more steps to go". I look up at the top of the stairs. The children are looking down at me. They were already on top of the stairs. Oh the shame the torture :( My head hangs low in shame. Then I hear the kids shout.
"Come one Dawn! You can do it!". I look back at them with my eyes tearing up. They were cheering for me. Awwwww :) My heart swells with joy. What cute kids.
I look at Lady Peace and find her smiling at me for encouragement. "Let's go Dawn. Just keep walking." For some reason when Lady Peace said that, it reminds me of Dori from the movie Finding Nemo when Dori kept singing "Just keep swimming just keep swimming swimming swimming". This made me laugh and smile. It also made me sing that song except I sang it, just keep walking walking walking. My feet starts going up the stairs again. Lady Peace then helps me up the stairs and keeps pushing me on with help of the children cheers of encouragement.
When I finally reach the top of the stairs, I could not help but to shout Success! The children were happy for me too and shout with me too. Except for one boy. He had his arms cross and was looking kind of snobby. He came up to me with his nose up and say
"I don't why we you are getting praised for. It's like praising a dog for eating". This made me so so so very angry. Ugh there's always a bully when you are a kid.
I pull his collar down and brought my face close to his, he was taken back but then smirk. I have this thing I do, when I get really angry for some reason my eyes tears up and that's what my eyes did.
"What? Are you going to cry? The boy mocks me. The children were shock. They kept silent and did not move a inch. Lady Peace pulls us apart and was clearly upset.
She shouted "Did I not mention a while ago that this place is a holy place! This place is not a place for fighting."
I calm down but the boy was still smirking. Man I would love to wipe that smirk off his face but keep your cool Dawn, he is just a boy and... I am suppose to be mature hahaha I fail as an adult. I look down ashamed.
"Kevan, you need to behave. That was unnecessary. Now you two make up". I hear Lady Peace say.
"Bwahaha! Kevan???" I was laughing.
Kevan! His name is Kevan??? I guess if I translate that in English it would mean gentle. This boy was the opposite of his name. I guess his mother wanted a sweet loving gentle child, well the mother must be disappointed.
Kevan looks smugly at me so I stop laughing.
"Kevan, Dawn". Lady Peace looks at us sternly. "Make up".
Kevan holds out his hand and say "Sorry" with indifference. I was confuse, what was I suppose to do with his hand. I just look at his hand.
Lady Peace sighs and pulls my hand. She made me grip his hand and we shook. Oh ok, I get it now. I shake his hand.
Kevan looks at me blankly. My hand lets go of his hand. Before leaving Kevan scoffs and roll his eyes at me.
Ahh the joys of being a kid again. To deal with childish behaviors.
I sigh and just let him go. I did not say anything, not a word and shrug it off. But he is still a brat.
Lady Peace pats my shoulder. "Try not to let Kevan get to you Dawn. He has been like this ever since he got here. His parents send him here to learn the ways of Aura but he dislikes it very much. I can see he is very home sick". Lady Peace motions one of the children to come to her.
My eyes looks up at Lady Peace "His parents?" I question.
The child that Lady Peace motions to come over answered me. "Yes, The King and Queen". My eyes looks at her and saw a sweet looking girl. She was smiling at me and wore a pink long sleeve dress with flower petals over it. The girl had short brown hair with bangs and green eyes.
Then Lady Peace introduce me to the girl. "This is Ava". I smile.
Ava sticks out her hand. I grip it and we shook. "Nice to meet you Dawn".
I shook my head no and smile. "No the pleasure is mine."
Lady Peace then speaks "Ava can you show her the place and where she will stay". Ava smiles and nods her head.
Lady puts her hand on my head and looks down at me. "Ok Dawn, I will see you later. Be a good girl ok." I nod and she ruffles my hair causing me to giggle. Then she comes over to Ava and say goodbye then pats her shoulder. After that Lady Peace leaves.
Ava looks at me and motions me to follow her. Then we walk off to where ever she is leading me.
