Chapter 1
Pikekit stared at the sky, wondering why some animals had fur and some didn't.
Seedkit started to become bored of what Pikekit was doing, "C'mon Pikekit! How about we go play with the others?"
Pikekit snapped back to reality, "No."
"What? Why not?" Seedkit demanded.
"Stormkit and Birdkit are playing moss ball, it's a bad game."
It seemed those two heard him and glared at the little tom.
Rushkit quickly stood to defend Pikekit, "Hey! Just because he doesn't like moss ball doesn't mean you have to treat him like a frog-brain!"
Pikekit stared at Rushkit and smiled, "Thanks."
Rushkit turned around and smiled back, "It's ok! What do you want to play?"
Pikekit thought for a bit, he looked over at some leaves and decided to play Hide and Find.
"What about Hide and Find? We can hide those leaves over there." the tom pointed with his tail.
"Sure! Only, let's try to find something that won't fly away, since leaves aren't the best at that." Rushkit looked around and stuck his muzzle into a few cracks, "Hey! What about this lizard scale?"
"Huh? Sure."
When Rushkit decided to hide first, Pikekit went inside the nursery, seeing Tinyfur and Dawnstar smiling at him.
Tinyfur and Dawnstar liked Rushkit, they both thought he was nice to Pikekit and they were glad their kit had a friend.
When Rushkit announced he had hidden the scale, Pikekit scurried out of camp and started scenting the air, but instead, he smelled something he didn't recognize, something that could be dangerous.
