I happen to stroll past the most stunning woman I've ever seen.
I walk through the cafe's doors at the same moment she does. Her beautiful blond wavy hair brushes up against my arm. I had to look twice as she goes out of the cafe, stopping and turning to where she exited the doors. She's stunning,
for sure. I blink twice to be sure it's not a trick of the mind. And, sure enough, she's still there, watching her stroll down the sidewalk from the cafe's windows. Her hair sways in the gentle breeze that rises. Then she's gone. I struggle to look at the lady behind the counter who is waiting for me to take an order.
"Sir. What do you want to order?" She inquires, as though she'd asked it twice. which she very likely did.
I order my customary cappuccino with a faint smile-extra whip-cream and a double-coated caramel spread.
She assures me with a smile. It'll be exactly how I requested. Which, I'm sure, it wouldn't.
When she announces to please wait while she gets it ready, I take a seat at one of the closest tables near the counter for a quick grab.
As I sat there, pulling out my laptop and entering the password, I notice a notification just as the windows open. It's from a girl I've been following on a website.
-Hey, Kelsie- I replied, then exit the tab.
I spent so much time thinking about the one girl who I've seen pass me when entering the cafe, that I forgot about the date I had planned with Kelsie.
"Place an order for LAVION TYSON!" The girl yells while clutching the cappuccino. Her cheeks flush as she sees me scoot over and extend my hand out to get it while still sitting in my chair.
"Thank you," I respond, nodding and making a quick show of my teeth. "Mhm. . . Very much Thank's," Taking a swig, then tilt the cup. "It's good," I admitted to her.
But still forgot to add the extra layer of caramel spread. Or. Never Mind. Just forgot to add a little more than she did.
As she walks away, she gives me a half-smile. I'm curious as to why she's behaving so weirdly. I have doubts about myself. Returning to my computer, I noticed a small window notification peeking up in the corner of the screen.
What the hell? I slam the laptop shut with a jolt. I looked around to see whether anyone else had noticed it.
It was just me and her. I immediately recognized the cause of her flushing.
In embarrassment, I look over my shoulder to see if she's at the counter. She's not. Good.
Taking my laptop and smashing it down into the case, snag the strap on my shoulder and get up, taking the cappuccino with me, and leave before she comes to see me again.
