I sit up as I hear the door open then close. I look around feeling disguted and dirty. I hear a click. I stand up falling down my stomach hurting along with not being able to feel my legs, but I slowly crwal over to the door and peer through the keyhole. I see James and his father smirking while walking away. "We can't be too careful, can we?" "right you are my son" they laugh as they walk down the stairs back down to the bar area of the tavern, I turned the doorknob gently and jiggled the door but it didn't open. I sit on the ground relizing that I was naked and coverd in something. I started crying wraping myself in the sheets then I look at the window rubbing the sheets between my fingers then wipe my eyes.
I push the window open and throw the hand made rope over the side, I look down then at the door. "I am not going to let them use me as a toy then lock me in here like a helpless princess." I swung my body over the edge and slid down the rope I made with the sheets and my old clothes. I dropped to the ground then pulled the sheets down and united my cloak. I pulled my hood over my head and started running back home. I leaned against the shed looking out at the tavern, I ran to the stables then run to the end and gently stroked my horse's muzzle. "It's ok girl it's only me" she leans up against me as I undo her lach on her fence. "We aren't staying here just to be told what we have to do" I pulled myself up on her with out even putting a blakent or a sadel, and not even a bridel, I just headed towards the forest. I looked up hearing yelling then saw lights in the distance where the tavern would be "let's go" I gently kicked her and we race off into the forest.
I look around the forest not being able to see a thing. "I am trusting you to get us far from that place." I pull my cloak over me starting to feel cold. I hear a rustle in the bushes but slowly keep going, I start seeing the wind shake the trees making the sounds of the forest scarier. I look back hearing rustling but see nothing, I kick Luna gently to a trot. She stopped suddenly and flipped her ears back to me. I rub her neck looking up seeing a fork in the road "mmm go to the left I suppose" the noises in the forest kept me on edge. I felt Luna stop again and look up seeing a river. "I will be with you girl don't worry" I clicked and she slowly got in the river and felt the cold overtake my skirt as we got in, I wrapped my cloak around me trying to keep warm. About halfway across the river I hear growling. I look over and see a group of yellow eyes, then a pack of wolves. I pull Luna back and kick her sides. She speeds up then starts galloping when she gets on the bank I turn to the right as I hear the wolves runing after us. I looked around but saw nothing. I lean in close to Luna's ear "please just run for home, I don't want you getting hurt" I took my cloak off and put it on Lunas back then I turn Luna around, and jump down as she runs back home my cloak flies back to me I quickly put it back on and run for it.
I ran what felt like forever, I tripped in the snow, climbed up piles of snow, then slid down the other side looking back still seeing the pack of wolves "don't they get tired!?" I continued to run until I got to a ravine. I stop and turn around backing up from the wolves. I look in the ravine and look at wolves backing up more "you don't want to eat me, I barely eat as it is" I backed up against a tree losing my footing then tumbling down the ravine. I felt my body being scratch up, my clothes ripping. I land feeling my body in agony, I slowly pull myself up and lean against a tree, and while holding my waist, I look up to see a viney, dark path leading out of the ravine. "There has to be someplace other than here" I push my way through the vines, I trip over my feet choking in piles of snow. I stand up wrapping myself in my cloak. "Why is it so cold all of a sudden? ''I trip again feeling my legs give out, I put my head down and close my eyes.
