There’s blood in my hands. Literally or figuratively? Who cares, it means the same thing. But the weapon in my hand is different from yesterday. It changes with my mood. If I’m feeling sad, probably a dagger adorned with precious stones. If I’m in for a quick hunt, a bow and arrow. Hateful? Sword definitely. Angry? Hmm, a whip for sure!

Walking down lonely streets at the dead of midnight really does something to me. The silence drowns my mind. My focus is clear. The loud voices in my head finally shut their mouths and my mind can be peaceful for once. Under the stars is when my hunter comes out.

I sighed. I’ve lost count. Of years or the humans I’ve killed? I’m not quite sure. Everything is a blur or red and gold now. And for some unfathomable reason, humans hate me. That’s funny, since I’m doing them a favour. It’s just that they view me as something I’m not. They see me as a monster. And I don’t really understand why. I view myself as a saviour. I am doing God’s duty after all. I see what others cannot. I see corruption within my planet. And that corruption is humans.

They build and they destroy. They live and they kill. They get something and they wish for more. Their wanting and desire is painfully endless. And because of that very desire, this world is coming to an end, so are the creatures living in it. This world does not belong to humans, in fact, it belongs to no one.
