Betrayal.
It’s something I’ve experienced many times before, more times than anyone should ever have to. From family members to real-world friends to Twitter acquaintances I've never truly met, anyone and everyone seems to betray me, whether they have a valid reason or no reason at all.
Sometimes their traitorous actions are insignificant, like a simple saying of the words “I hate you!”...but other times, it gets much, much worse. They may leak my personal information to people who could easily make it spread like a pandemic. They may harass me violently and without end. One day, they may even take it beyond the walls within which we reside and the screens behind which we communicate. I never know for certain.
Betrayal.
It’s a terrifying experience for me.
And every day, I wake up afraid it’ll happen again…
