When I woke up I had almost forgotten where I was. But then I remembered last night and the neutral expression I had on my face turned sour. I sigh before I comb my hand through my hair just to find out that it was all tangled up in knots. I let out another sigh, already frustrated with the day. I get up and make my way to my bathroom and turn on the showerhead. While I wait for the water to get warm, I brush my teeth.
I step into the shower and immediately place my head under the running water, closing my eyes to calm myself down, thinking about what I would do today that didn't involve me talking to anyone today besides myself. Finished with my shower, I step out and wrap my towel around me. I go to the adjoining room on the left where it had a large shelf where I had placed all of my makeup, skin care, and bathroom products on. Since I did not plan on going anywhere, I just apply a face serum and cream to my face before I walk out to go put my clothes on.

I make my way out of my room and down the stairs. I walk through the long hall after taking a left and I find the kitchen located there. Beyond the kitchen was a breakfast room and what I'm guessing was a family room. I go back out into the hall and make my way down another path that leads me to a huge and empty ballroom. I ended up finding random rooms that seemed a waste of space to me and a few interesting ones that I took a mental note of if I wanted to find them again later. After all the exploring I decided to return to my room and spend the rest of my day there. I go back into the kitchen to grab myself something to eat. Instead of sitting in my room like I originally planned, I found the library and decided to spend the rest of the day in there instead. I close the door behind me softly and turn around to look at the dimly lit room filled with large shelves. The books were everywhere. I'm pretty sure I would find a librarian hidden somewhere unde/rneath them. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I did. I make my way deeper into the room and find the non-fiction section. I longed to find the biggest book that could take me away to another place, another world, different from my own. I find a thick book with a child on the cover. Her skin was pale, she had eyes that were fully black, and in her hands was a small dove. But it was red. Seemed interesting enough. I take the book and walk deeper into the library until I find what seemed to be some sort of couch playpen. I shrug at the interesting layout and climb inside of it. I stare at the cover of the book once more before I turn the first few pages, instantly calming my state of mind as I inhale the book's scent when I flipped through. I read for so long I wouldn't have noticed that the day was nearly over if it wasn't for the light that was dimming outside through the large window. Without thinking I reach to my side for my phone but then quickly remember that I had left it upstairs in the room. Oh well, It's not like I'll be waiting for any texts from anyone. Now that my parents pretty much threw me out to another family, they're probably much happier.
