Soor's POV:
I look into his eyes. I can see that they're filled with sorrow as if he already knew of my situation. But I don't need his pity, I now have the powers to protect myself and the child that I will be carrying for the next 9 months.
"I appreciate your 'kindness' but, I have to refuse."
I'm determined to carry this baggage by myself, I don't need another person in my life as I already hurt enough people. My response seemed to affect him for a second but he quickly gained his composure.
"I see... I respect your decision," he stands up and hands me a piece of paper, "This is my number, if there's anything I can help you with just let me know."
The stranger left with the people that he brought with him. I rub my temple as I feel another headache incoming.
After calming down I look at the time, "I missed 3 classes already, might as well miss the rest and go to school tomorrow."
I lie on the bed and sigh. Both today and yesterday were such eventful days, and not in a good way. But there's no longer any room for regrets.
The eventful day ended with me sleeping most of the time.

~The next day
I had a dream. In the dream, I was able to perform all sorts of magic. And when I was due, I held my child as I rested in the hospital. Despite the circumstances in which the child was born, I grew fond of my first baby. I hugged my baby only for it to disappear from my arms.
"My baby... my baby!"
I looked around for my child only to see 'him', the one that I made a deal with. He walked away with my firstborn and I tried to stop him, or scream for help, but no sound came out of my mouth. Just when he was about to leave my field of view he turned to look at me. His lips moved and I couldn't hear him, but it wasn't like I needed to.
I could clearly make out these words:
"Thank you for keeping your part of the deal."
It was at this time was the dream ended. I was covered in sweat and breathing heavily. I rub my belly while deep in thought.
"No, I cannot grow fond of this child. It will be taken away as soon as I give birth to it."
The thought of it made me sad, but I have no say over the child, a deal is a deal. I look at the time, it was time for me to get ready for school. I get off of the bed and stand in front of the mirror. My wavy red hair is a mess, and my green eyes are puffy.
I sigh in frustration, "I have to look for remedies to make my eyes look better..."
I get dressed, fixed my hair, and was about to leave when I see the green-haired legends waiting for me at my apartment exit. When he notices me, he walks over to me and hands me a debit card.
"I noticed that you have no money to take care of a child. So here." His voice had no emotion, which was not a surprise.
Yesterday, I was happy to meet a legend to release me of my worries, but now it's different. When I saw him, he reminded me of the people I've lost in a single day. I didn't want to take his money but he was right, I was poor and I needed a bigger source of income if I'm going to go through with this. I take his credit card and he disappears without saying another word.
"I hope I won't have to see you again," I mumble.
After I left the apartment and went to school, everybody was looking at me differently. But the look on their faces was worse than before. Now their faces were filled with hate.
"That's the one! I heard she seduce one of us and cheated on him."
"Does she has no shame? She should've been honored to date one of us!"
"Well, at least he will no longer date a lose."
"They are talking about me... Well, that's no surprise. If they had a reason to talk about me before, now they have more of a reason to talk about me."
I stand tall. Once I master my skill, they will all shut up. I stopped listening to them and continued walking down the hall. All conversation fell on deaf ears.
~At the cafeteria
After I got to the cafeteria, I quickly got in line. I am surprised to find that no one bothered me as I get in line. Whatever the reason for which no one bothers me maybe, I don't lower my guard. I have a baby in my belly that I need to take care of, and nothing can happen to it. When the cafeteria ladies saw me, they were about to give me the worse food on the menu, but I stop them.
"I know that that was the only thing I could afford, but now it's different." I pointed at the most expensive meal on the menu, which made the cafeteria ladies raise an eyebrow.
"You sure you can afford that? If you don't have the money to pay for this then we are going to make you regret deceiving us!" They said.
I show them the credit card in my pocket, but they grew even more suspicious when they saw it, "I knew it wasn't going to be easy after I did the deed, but I never thought that getting a good meal would also be difficult."
"Just... scan it if you want, but if I notice that you take more than what this actually costs, I will sue you," I put my best glare, but they didn't budge.
One of the ladies grabbed my credit card and scanned it, and when they saw the amount of money available on the card their eyes opened wide. They opened and closed their mouths as if they were trying to say something but their tongues were stuck. In the end, they gave up and handed me my meal. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't even eat in peace. The stares the other students gave me made me lose my appetite, but I forced myself to eat for the sake of my child.
When the bell rang I was already at my desk. My now ex-boyfriend sat beside me, and my ex-friends were behind me. I'm not going to lie, it was uncomfortable. I could feel their anger. I did my best to ignore them and paid attention to the class. I used to not bother paying attention to the class, but now I regret not taking notes.
"Soor paying attention to class? Now that's new." Lis says.
I chuckle as I know that she's trying to provoke me, "It's the least I can do."
I smile, which seems to irritate Lis.
"My ex-friend is trying to make me miserable, if she were in the same situation as me, I wonder what she would have done."
I thought that my ex-boyfriend would also take part in "making me miserable" but he is surprisingly quiet, although looking angry.
"Hopefully, he leave me alone for the rest of the year. I only need 2 years to be done with high school."
The professor clapped his hands, drawing our attention to him, "Yesterday, the principal and I were talking about letting our students go to the city with a limited time."
"Yes! We can go to the city now!" A student shouted.
All students cheer except for me, Max, Lis, and Trey.
"SILENCE!!!" Shouted the professor in annoyance.
All of us jumped in fright and the room was in complete silence.
"As I was saying, students can go to the city now, but only those whose powers are strong."
At his words, the students looked at each other and discussed among themselves which ones were the strongest ones in the entire class.
"I see..." I mumbled with my hand on my chin.
"You are considering going out to the city Soor?" Max asked, "Why even bother going with the group if you can't even summon a small fire?"
"That's my problem, Max, we are no longer related to each other so don't meddle in my business," I answer in annoyance.
"Is that so? Then good luck." He waves his hand as I stand up and join the group of students that follow the teacher.
The teacher led us outside the barrier that stops the students from leaving the school. And outside the barriers was an abyss, but the abyss wasn't just any kind of abyss. If you were not strong enough, you will fall into the abyss and will be back in school, or so they say. The principal waited with her arms crossed as every student gathered around the abyss.
