That night I lay on my bed. I’m exhausted but can't go to sleep. It is getting late now. I can see the sun going down over the Great Sararan Mountain Range. The mountain range runs through the Ice and Blade Kingdom, over the border between our kingdom and the Air kingdom and all the way out to the sea. It basically loops. I curl up on my bed and try to go to sleep, but I have too many thoughts and questions swirling around my brain, keeping me awake. I get up and leave my barracks. Since my family is royal, we are at the top of the mountain, meaning we don't have to walk as far to get to the outside world. As soon as I’m out, I go to me and Blindspears hang out spot. It is about seven hundred metres away on a mountain almost identical to ours. It is called Mount Searing. The reason for this name is because when the sun shines on it it looks like it’s on fire. When I land I find Blindspear there as well. “Hi,” I say. She smiles at me as I walk over.
“Hey. I expected you would be asleep at this time,” she says. The sun has almost completely set now, casting long, pointy shadows over the plains.
“No. Too many thoughts. You?” I say.
Blindspear sighs and turns to me. “Same. I feel scared and I don’t know why. It’s like this feeling of dread almost… like I know something bad is going to happen in the distant future, but I don’t know what exactly.”
This creeps me out, because not only does Blindspear have this weird ability to sense things, but I also have the same feeling. I remember back to a few years ago, when me and Blindspear were playing in an old part of the palace that had long since been abandoned. “We should go. I feel something warning us to leave.” She had said. So we left. Only a few minutes after we had got out, that part of the palace had collapsed. If we were still in there, we would have been crushed, or suffocated. After that, everytime Blindspear had a feeling, I would comply without asking questions. It undoubtedly saved mine and Blinspears lives multiple times. “Lion?” Blindspears voice brought me back to reality. "Sorry. I just got lost in my thoughts there." I say. Blindspear just nods and turns. "I can't help but wonder what would have happened if they hadn't released us. Would they have tortured and killed us or would they have kept us prisoner?" Blindspear said. Out of the corner of my eye I see something shiny reflect the light. I reach over and tug on Blindspears shoulder. "Blindspear, look." She looks over at the shiny thing and frowns. "Lets go." I say. I let go of her and jump of the ledge that we are sitting on. I hear Blindspear take off behind me. I swoop down and land. I loose my balance and trip. As I stand up and right myself, I see what what the the shiny thing is. It's my brothers corpse.

542 words. Wow. Absolutely pathetic. I'm only on the third chapter, yet writers block is punching me in the face already. Also, please, please comment. I really want to hear your feedback and see if I'm just wasting my time. I would really appreciate to hear your opinion on my story. Thank you.
