Before we start this chapter, I would like to give a shout out to Lizzy for giving feedback and being very nice. Also, Lizzy, I think you are awesome at writing poems.
Also, guys PLEASE comment. I really want to hear your thoughts on my story. Also, please feel free to recommend your story and maybe I will read it;)
Also also, I would like you guys to give me ideas on things to write, cos i'm running out of ideas for this. I mean, I know the general direction that I want the story to go, I just need details for along the way, you know? Thank you.

A puddle of blood surrounded him. His front right leg was missing. I shake my head in disappointment. "Who would have thought I would outlive him." I look at Blindspear. She looks back at me with a horrified expression. "Do you not care that your brother is dead?" I look back at Slashers corpse. "I hated him. Good riddance if you ask me." I say. Blindspear shakes her head. "We need to tell your mother. They need to know." I chuckle slightly. "My mother won't care. She'll just be glad he didn't become the king." Blindspear sighs. "Well, we should head back now," I nod my head in agreement. "Yes." I say.
When I get back my barracks are empty. Hmm. Mother must still be at work. I decide to just go to bed. I'll tell Mother in the morning. I head down the hallway to my room. As my family is First Circle, we get quite big barracks compared to most other families in the palace. I walk past Slashers room on the way back to mine. Maybe I can use his room for space. As I walk, I realise how tired I am. I look forward to sleeping. Once I get to my room I feel grateful to crawl under my blankets. As soon as I curl up, I fall asleep, thinking about the Air Kingdom and Slasher.
I walk the endless halls of the Air Palace, trying to find an exit, but there doesn't seem to be one. As I walk, I keep hearing laughter. I don't know who is laughing, but it's freaking me out. This whole place freaks me out. "Lion! Lion over here!" A voice calls. I recognise that voice. Slasher. I run towards where I think the voice is coming from. It leads me to a T in the hallway. "Lion!" The voice calls from my left. I run down the branch of the hallway to my left. The hallway spits me out into the Throne Room. Slasher sits with his back to me. "You left me there, Lion. You didn't even tell Mother." Slasher hisses. "I'm sorry." I mumble. I start to shake. "Are you though? When you saw my body, you just shook your head and continued on your merry way." Slasher finally turns to me. I gasp. Blood pours down his face from his empty eye sockets. His front right arm is missing, chopped off at the shoulder. "I thought you liked me better. I certainly liked you, little sister. But now you will pay!" Slasher starts manically laughing again. I turn and turn back down the hall, trying my hardest to remember the way. I hear him behind me. I know that if I look back I'll slow down, so I keep my eyes on the path ahead. I feel his claws wrap around my tail. I'm being pulled back. I open my mouth to scream, but nothing comes out.
I wake up to bright sunlight streaming in through the window. My window does not have curtains, which is weird, considering my family is in the First Line. It suddenly hits me. My brother is dead. I realise Mother is probably awake by now. I get up and walk towards my door, dread seeping through my body. I take a deep breath and open my door. Sure enough, I can see Mother in the kitchen. I walk down and emerge into the living room. " Mother," I say. She turns to me. " Yes?" My heart is beating so loud that the whole palace can probably hear me. " Slasher is dead. We found his body yesterday evening." Mother looks surprised, then confused, then happy, then her face goes back to its emotionless mask. " Oh." Is all she says. She doesn't care. She really doesn't care. As it is Wednesday, there is school today. I look at the clock. "Oh, fffffffffudge cakes! I'm going to be late to class!" I say. My mother doesn't like swearing. That was a close one. I run out of our house, not having time to brush my teeth. I'll have to brush them the second I get home from school.
Three hours later, I'm sitting in history, getting more bored by the second. "And then Queen Lion slashed Queen Storms throat, freeing the Mountain Dragons from the Air Dragon rule forever, but..." Professor Snow says. I turn my head and stare out the window cut into the stone of the wall. My mind drifts back to the nightmare I had last night. I don't know why I was the Air Palace. That literally has nothing to do with Slasher's death. Or does it? What if it was the Air Dragons that killed him? Something in the back of my mind tells me that it was an Air Dragon. "Lion. Can you please tell me how many Air Dragons were killed during the final battle?" I snap back to reality and notice that everybody is staring at me. "Um...seven thousand?" I say. Professor Snow shakes his head. "Wrong. thirty thousand." He says. "Oh." Is all I say before I turn my attention back to what's happening out the window. I see three little dragonets running around outside, enjoying the sun. I sigh. I wish my life was normal. I wish I could be like the little dragons. Running and laughing and playing without a care in the world. I slump onto my desk, thinking about how cool it would be to have normal friends like that.
