After 3 more periods, the bell rang and we had lunch break. Charlotte led the way in going to the school's cafeteria. I did not bring any lunch, so I bought food from the cafeteria. They were serving haggis. I ordered it and tried to look for a vacant table. I found a table with Charlotte and her 2 friends. I asked her if I could sit with them, and she said yes.
"I am Charles and she is Victoria. Nice to meet you.", one of Charlotte's friends greeted.
"Hi! My name is Cornelius Curnow. Nice to meet you two.", I said.
"Aren't you the prince of Scotland? Oh my gosh, I get to meet the prince!", Victoria shrieked.
"Yes he is. Now don't say it out loud. He is trying to keep a low profile but it is not working. You are kind of making it worse.", Charlotte said.
"Oh okay, then. How is your first day going?", Victoria asked me.
"It was fine until Will tried to start a fight with me after the first period.", I replied.
"Oh. So that means Will is picking on those students with a royal status again, is he? He does that every year so just don't mind him. Don't let him get into your nerves.", Charles said.
"Okay, thanks Charles. By the way, could you three give me a school tour?", I said.
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot. Sorry.", Charlotte said.
We had enough time for a school tour because there is 1 hour and 30 minutes given for lunch. The three of them showed me around. They led me to the auditorium, the classrooms of different grade levels, the garden, and the wide field behind the auditorium. They told me that their club activities were also held in our classrooms. We ended the tour 20 minutes before the bell rings.
"That is the end of the tour, Cornelius. If you have any more questions just ask any of the three of us.", Charles said.
"Thank you. Do you happen to know where the library is?", I asked.
"Oh, we almost forgot about that. It is on the floor of our classrooms and at the end of the hall after the clinic.", Charlotte replied.
"Do you love to read, Cornelius?", Victoria asked.
"Yes I do. Even back at the castle, I go to its own library everyday.", I replied.
"That is so cool. I would love to have my own library too for the books I own back at home.", Charlotte said.
"It's almost time to go back to class. See you guys later during dismissal time!", Victoria said.
Victoria and Charles went ahead of us in going to their assigned classroom. Charlotte and I walked to where our classroom was and went inside. The teacher has not arrived yet so we both waited while sitting on our chairs. Charlotte was busy drawing doodles in her personal notebook while I was busy reading one of the books I borrowed from the castle's library. Will and his other friends were just laughing about a story that one of his friends told them. I took a quick look at them then went back to reading right away. The teacher finally arrived and she introduced herself to us. She told us that she was a Science teacher who will be teaching all the branches of science.
This was going to be our last period for the day. Our dismissal time was at 3:00 pm. So for the last period, the teacher told us to read specific pages in our Science textbook. I read them as fast as I could so that I get to answer the textbook's questions right away. After 20 minutes have passed, the teacher discussed about cells, which was our current topic for Biology. She discussed for 30 minutes and she told us to pass our Science notebooks. We all passed our notebooks to the front and the student nearest her desk placed them on the table. For the last 10 minutes, the teacher said we could have our own free time.
I was looking outside through the window. It looked a bit cloudy today. I looked at Charlotte and saw that she was drawing doodles again in her personal notebook. After 10 minutes, the teacher dismissed all of us. Charlotte and I went out of the classroom and looked for Charles and Victoria. We found them by the student's waiting area.
"What was your last period, Charlotte?", Victoria asked Charlotte.
"It was Science. The first topic for this subject was pretty easy, so Cornelius and I did fine, right Cornelius?", Charlotte replied.
"Um... of course, Charlotte!", I said.
"Hey Cornelius, are you okay? It looks like you are spacing out. Do you want to talk about it?", Charles asked me.
"I am fine. We can all talk about it but not here in school. Maybe we can talk about it somewhere else?", I replied.
"Oh I know a good place to talk. Why not we go to the castle? Cornelius can just give us passes to get in.", Victoria asked.
"That is a great idea, Victoria! I will just text my mom to allow the three of you inside the castle.", I replied.
"Yahoo! We finally get to see the castle for real!", Victoria said.
"Victoria is really excited. Well, I guess she can't help it. She has always dreamed of going to a castle.", Charles said.
We all laughed at Victoria's reaction. I texted my mom that three of my friends are coming with me to the castle. She said it was fine and that she will tell the castle guards to allow them inside. She also texted me that the chauffeur will fetch us from school to go back to the castle. I thanked her for allowing them inside. She said that there was no problem because she wants to meet my friends when we arrive.
"My mom already told the castle guards to allow the three of you inside the castle. The chauffeur is by the school's parking lot, so let's go there right now.", I said.
"Okay, let's all get going then! I can't wait to see the castle!", Victoria said.
We walked towards the school's parking lot and rode the car. We reached the castle after 20 minutes. Charles woke Victoria up while Charlotte looked outside through the car's window. It was my first time to bring friends inside the castle. I was also as excited as Victoria. We went out of the car and entered the castle.
