"Woah! It is much more beautiful than what I have imagined. You should give us a tour, since we gave you a school tour awhile ago during lunch time.", Charlotte said.
"Sure! I could give the three of you a tour right now. But before the tour, I will introduce all of you to my mom. My dad is not here right now because he has an important meeting to go to.", I said.
I told them to stay where they are. I went to my mom's bedroom to tell her that my friends are already there. I knocked on the door and opened it. I told my mom my friends are already there and she accompanied me to go downstairs to see them. My friends saw my mom and I going down the stairs.
"Good afternoon to all of you! I am so happy my son has made friends on his first day. Let us all go to the dining room for some refreshments, shall we?", my mom said.
"Good afternoon, your highness! It is an honor to meet you. My name is Victoria.", Victoria greeted.
"Oh, you do not need to call me 'your highness'. Please call me Catherine instead.", my mom said.
"Oh okay. I will call you by your first name then.", Victoria said.
We all went to the dining room for some refreshments. The servants served and placed them on the table. The servants also served some bottles of Club Orange or tea as drinks with our own preference. Charlotte got a bag of Hunky Dory and a cup of coffee while I only got a cup of Lyons' Rich Earl Grey tea. Charles got a packet of Jacob's Cream Crackers with Butter along with a bottle of Club Orange while Victoria got a bag of Hunky Dory with a cup of Lyons' green tea.
"You're really stuffing your mouth there, Vic.", Charles chuckled.
"Don't make fun of me, Charles. I mean I don't usually eat these types of food everyday.", Victoria said.
We all laughed at Victoria's reaction.
"You can take some more, Victoria. We will give you 3 bags of Hunky Dory and 2 small boxes of Jacob's Cream Crackers with Butter as a token of my thanks.", my mom said.
"That's great! Thank you!", Victoria thanked my mom.
"Your welcome. By the way, the three of you could come here anytime if you have the time. I am just so happy to see Cornelius meeting with his friends.", my mom said.
"Thank you, Catherine! We really appreciate it.", Charlotte said.
"Well, I must go back to my room now since I am busy. Goodbye!", my mom said.
"Bye, Catherine.", the three of my friends said.
"Bye mom!", I said.
"Let's start the castle tour. I can't wait anymore!", Victoria said.
"Okay, okay. Let's not rush.", Charles said.
We laughed at Charles' comment. I started to show them around the castle. I showed them the garden, the function rooms, the ballroom, the library, my parents bedroom, and my bedroom.
"This is my bedroom. By the way, there are also underground tunnels in this castle. Unfortunately, I cannot take you there because it is only for emergency purposes. We can talk about what's in my mind in my room.", I said.
"That was the best tour I have ever had! Thank you, Cornelius!", Victoria said.
"Your welcome, Victoria. Let's go inside my room.", I said.
When we went inside my room, my friends were amazed. It was, actually, a pretty big room for only one person. Charlotte and Charles sat on my bed. Victoria, however, went to my closet and looked through my clothes. My closet was a walk-in closet. I guess she has never seen a walk-in closet before. After a while, I told her to sit on my bed so that I could tell them about my plan. She sat down and said sorry to me. I told her it was okay since I understand that it is her first time to go to a castle.
"Now that we're all settled, tell us what's on your mind, Cornelius.", Charles said.
"Okay. Have any of you wondered how it is like to stay in a settlement area in Scotland?", I asked the three of them.
"Well, we never really talked about it, so, no.", Charlotte replied.
"Well, my parents, the king and queen, do not allow me to go outside the castle. I am only allowed to go out when I have a reason. I have been thinking of disguising myself as a commoner and live in Edinburgh during the summer break.", I said.
My friends were either surprised or shocked when I said that.
"Are you crazy? Don't you think that you will get in trouble when you go there? Your parents will be worried about you.", Victoria said.
"I did come up with a plan though. My plan is to go through one of the underground tunnels and exit in Edinburgh. I will be telling my parents that I went to summer classes with the three of you so that they won't be worried about me. Could the three of you support my plan?", I asked.
"Well, since we are your friends now, we will support your plan. If there is any trouble, we will contact you as soon as possible.", Charles stated.
"Thank you! Let's exchange phone numbers so that we could contact each other.", I said.
We exchanged phone numbers with each other. I checked the time on the wall clock and it was almost time for dinner. I asked the three of them if they wanted to have dinner before they leave. Of course, Victoria said yes. Charles and Charlotte said no, but I told them it was my treat. I told them that we will all go to the dining room right now.
When we arrived at the dining room, I saw my mom sitting down on her seat, waiting for me. I asked my mom if my friends could eat with me. She said it was fine. When we sat down, my mom told one of the servants that they can serve the food already. After a few minutes, the food was served right away.
"Mom, where's dad?", I asked my mom.
"He will be coming home late tonight. He is going to eat dinner at the meeting place.", my mom replied.
"Oh okay. I actually gave my friends a castle tour.", I said.
"That's good to hear. How did you find the castle, Victoria?", my mom asked.
"It looks magnificent, inside and out.", Victoria replied.
"Cornelius, what are the names of those two beside Victoria.", my mom asked.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce the both of them to you. He is Charles and she is Charlotte.", I replied.
"Okay. Since I am done eating already, I will be in my room. If you need me, I will be in my room. When your friends leave, our personal chauffeurs will drive them back to their homes.", my mom said.
My mom went back to her room. My friends and I continued to talk and eat. When we were done, I led them to the exit and they said goodbye. I said goodbye and they rode our private cars back home.
I went back inside the castle and went straight to my room. I freshened up for bed and brushed my teeth. I fell asleep on my bed right away.
