As I walked the old rugged grey ranch dock
You could hear the wine and hum from the windmills
A block down the prairie lands country roads
The sound of the dairy cows in the pasture
A flock of geese taking a country flight
With the livestock ready to hungrily eat
On this bright sparkling and shinning morning
The old rancher is so gratefully thankful
Quietly bending his knees in prayer
He thankfully thanks his father and grandmaster
And prays to his beloved and pretty wife
With the sweet scent of the Aster flower beds
He spreads his hands righteously in the air
Thanks the creator in the heavens above
And is grateful to have loved his sweetheart wife
