An Example Word-Count Calendar

This is an example of a word-count calendar I had when I was on another site from a few years ago. It's hard to look back at this now that I've read through these. Anyway, this was my second word-count calendar (my first was deleted and I could find it unfortunately). Anyway, onto the example.

Beginning:

Currently I have successfully completed one novel, "The Hunter and the Hunted" which is currently in its editing stage. Now, I have moved on to the second novel in that series, "The Omni Plague". Right now, the word count for it is: 44,826. I laid off of it for a while and started another book, but I realized that I can't leave one thing uncompleted and work on something else entirely. Now, I'll still be working on both, but "The Omni Plague" is my main priority as of right now.

I plan to write 150 words a day, since I've been loaded down for the beginning of the school year. I want to have 80,000 words when I complete this novel, max, so I can send it into the editing stage. So, that means I have 5 and 1/2 months to finish it if I stay consistent with my progress calendar, which I hope will be successful.

Man, it seems just like yesterday that we started 2013, but now it's over. Now we start with a clean slate, and we can try new resolutions and try to make something better out of our past mistakes from years past. So, before I begin my usual talk, I wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed those black-eyed peas. :)

So, I don't know if it's just me, or not, but I find it highly ironic I reach my word count goal on the day of New Years. Yes, today, 1/1/14, I finished my second word-count calendar. Which I'm extremely proud about. But, even though I hit that 80k, I still have not finished it, so I may be looking at a 100K novel, maybe, maybe even 110K. I don't know if I could do that, but I have a whole LOT of editing I'll have to do, so I hope that number goes back down to 85k at most.

Yeah, here's the word counts:

Last Week's Word Count: 75,315

This Week's Word Count: 80, 507

Next Week's Word Count: COMPLETED!!!!!

Thanks guys for being supportive, and I hope you continue on with your word count goals as well! Enjoy 2014!

This is a rough version of the Word-Count Calendar. Basically, you can give a summary of what you wrote, or even the part of the story that you wrote if you wish, and then post your last week's word count, then the actual word count for that week, and then your goal for the following word count! :D If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the Help Book or on here. I check them all regularly.
