It’s 1783, and America celebrates the seceding from Britain once and for all. Three young boys believe the new freedom means to run away and start a new life, and forget about their problems and past and be themselves.
Jeremiah (14) and his older brother, Jonas (16), escape their abusive father and decide to bring along their best friend, Charles. All they want is to make their own world, their own rules, and their own path. That’s all they want.
Through this journey as you read Jeremiah’s journal, you learn about how you can be your own person and change things that may seem hard. Well it’s stressful living in the West, it’s easier with friends, and all these boys want to do is make the world a better place.
