Listen children, here is a story.
One day Ekkreth was fleeing. They were fleeing Depur. Running from Depur's chasers and enforcers as they ran after them. Ekkreth's whole being was overcome with the need to get away. The need to be free of Depur and his work and his greed and his pride. And likewise the enforcers were concentrated on hunting them down and bringing them back to the life of work and toil.
Ekkreth was in the form of a human. And they were running so fast that their legs ached painfully. So fast that their lungs burned like fire. They ran as fast as a human possibly could run. And then they ran even faster than that. But Depur's enforcers were chasing after them and were gaining ground.
Ekkreth knew they had to get away. But more importantly they knew that they could get away. And they knew that Depur's enforcers, untimately, could never catch them.
So then Ekkreth changed forms. And they turned into a wild anooba. And they ran fast. Faster than any human could ever run. And they outran Depur's enforcers and chasers. The enforcers could not keep up with Ekkreth. And Ekkreth left them far behind in the dust.
As an anooba they were strong. They were powerful. They were a force to be reckoned with. And Depur's enforcers could not gain a single inch on them. Ekkreth's heart sang with joy.
Ekkreth's breathing was hard and their lungs were still burning. But they knew that fire destroyed. Fire recreated. Fire cleansed. So they kept going on through the pain.
Depur's enforcers knew that they had to find a way to regain their speed. And so they went to Depur's great palace and they brought out their speeders and they mounted upon the speeders.
On the speeders they were faster. Faster even than Ekkreth could run. And they laughed and jeered as they started gaining ground on Ekkreth. They glided over the sands and came closer and closer upon Ekkreth.
The terrible noise of the speeders grew louder and louder in Ekkreth's ears. Until they thought that surely they must be doomed. Surely Depur's enforcers were about to capture them.
But then Ekkreth remembered hope. They remembered the promise of Ar-Amu. That always, somehow or another, sooner or later, Ekkreth would always become free.
So Ekkreth continued running.
And they turned into the form of a dune snake. They slithered forwards, lightning-fast, fluid and swift, over the dunes. As a snake they were 222Please respect copyright.PENANAWjRjV3WbPM
flowing. They were shifting. Ever-moving like the sands. Ever slippery and hard to catch.
They slithered faster. Faster than the overseers could glide on their speeders. And Ekkreth put more and more distance between themself and the overseers. They were winning the maddened race.
The overseers cursed and swore. Ekkreth was slipping away through their fingers. This was not acceptable. Depur wanted that Ekkreth caught and he had charged the overseers in doing it.
They glided all the way back to Depur's palace. And they got out Depur's ships that flew through the air. They knew that from these ships they could shoot at Ekkreth and capture them in a net. They left some overseers behind to keep an eye on Ekkreth.
So they went out over the lands and chased Ekkreth farther. And Ekkreth saw them flying through the sky towards them. And Ekkreth felt fear in their heart. How could they possibly outrun the airships?
The enforcers were gaining more and more ground on Ekkreth. And Ekkreth was slithering as fast as they possibly could. But it was no use. They were not able to outrun the enforcers.
They dodged many of the nets that the enforcers shot their way. But they were getting exhausted. They were out of energy, and out of time. They felt that they could go on no longer.
But they kept going.
They slithered next to a river. And they saw the way the suns' light reflected in the water. They saw how fast the light danced through the sky. How no-one and nothing could catch it.
They transformed themselves to turn into that light. And they reflected across the river and out, out, out through the lands.
Depur's enforcers could not catch up to them. But they knew what to do. They activated their hyper drives and moved faster than even the light could move.
Ekkreth was at an impasse. Their thoughts raced through their mind and they could not even comprehend how fast their mind was racing.
Then they realized something. Nothing could move faster than the speed of thought.
There was a youth walking by the river. They saw the light of Ekkreth. Ekkreth turned into a thought in the youth's mind and from there they bounced into the minds of many other people.
And try as they might, the enforcers could never catch them.
Whenever we see light reflecting off of water, that could be Ekkreth, running from Depur. And when we see the light and think of them, then they turn into a thought in our heads and go to the heads of many other people. In this way Depur can never catch them.
I tell you this story to save your life.
