It was a dark and stormy night in Austin, Texas, without the dark, stormy, and night part. School was waiting for me, and I was waiting for the end of it. I was getting ready for school, though I wasn't ready mentally. But who cares? You obviously don't. You just want the big juicy action. Don't worry, cuz we'll get there. Anyways, the news were on talking about a group of heroes in Arizona.
"I still can't believe heroes exist!" called my mother from the kitchen.
"I still can't believe they didn't come from New York!" I called back. "But you know. Stuff happens."
Long story short, these people came out of nowhere with abilities that any man, and woman, would have dreamed of. Here are the heroes. The Avatar with a black hood, Catwoman without the epicness, She-Wolf without the epicness, Maximum Ride, colorful, Cyborg but he's completely human, Gir but smarter and less cute, and frickin purple Scorpion. Those aren't their real names but these guys didn't really matter now. I looked out the window to see people walking their dogs, kids walking to school, and a random creepy guy with a camera. That's strange. Fred wasn't walking his dog.
"You ready?" asked my mom.
I sighed and looked in the mirror. I rubbed my hands together and snapped my fingers at the mirror. "You suck!" I said to myself. "Now that my self motivation is over with, let us enjoy the life of being told what is right and wrong by some random adults that don't even know us!" And I went off into the fascinating journey to education.

"You're tardy for the fourth time, Pock." Mr. Harleck, my P.E. teacher, was sitting by the door when I walked in.
"Well at least it's my first time being late for the fourth time. I won't do it a fourth time again," I answered.
Harleck smiled and shook his head. "Alright. It's free time, so do whatever you want, as long as it isn't illegal."
"Hey!" called Hendrix, my best friend. "Where'd ya go?"
"Just home," I answered. "And maybe a store, and a food stand."
"Well, let's play ball!" Hendrix slapped my back.
"Well, let's play ball!" I punched his shoulder. "Tomorrow."
He rubbed his shoulder. "You feelin' lazy today?"
"Yep."

In the darkness, a deep voice called. Lukas feared for what was coming. Kalmeck would be angry if he didn't bring good news. He walked down the corridor, rehearsing his speech in his head, fear rising with every step he took. He made it.
"Sir, I have arrived." Lukas knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Lukas stepped inside, papers in his hands.
Kalmeck turned to look at Lukas. "Any news?"
"As a matter of fact yes. We have found someone." He shifted uncomfortably. "He is extremely athletic. I'm surprised he didn't take part in the Olympics."
"Useful. His information?"
"Henry Pock, son of Abniel and Nala Pock." As Lukas said this, Kalmeck's brows raised. "Age 16. Birthday June 24th of 2004. He does martial arts and plays sports. He is very interactive, very easy to convince."
"How do you know?"
"I disguised myself as a person named Fred. I was able to convince him that heroism didn't really matter." Lukas felt proud of himself. "Well, it does take a while to convince him."
"Will he agree to our offer?"
"No, but we can trick him into agreeing. You see, he told me he always wanted to join the military. So if we disguise ourselves as part of the military, then we could trick him here."
"Very well. Go on. Do what you must do."
"Siryessir."
"Hey! Don't call me that. This isn't the militar-ooooh." Kalmeck smiled. "Well go on."
Lukas left satisfied.

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, but not a beautiful day for a neighbor. Fred wasn't feeling good, so we couldn't talk person-to-person. We texted each other.
"Why does your house look empty?" I texted.
"Cuz I'm in bed."
"What about your dogs?" I waited a while for a response.
"I sold them."
I looked up to see the sofa and suddenly felt tired. "Sorry, I have to do something."
"Alright see ya."
I put the phone away. "Poor guy." I went to my couch after a tough day of school. "Hey, Ma! I'm here!" I called.
"Good!" she yelled back. I started watching some cartoons when the door bell rang.
"I'll get it!" I yelled and ran to the door to see a Marine guy. "Hold up! If you're here for the robbery of bag of tortillas, I got an explanation! I didn't notice I had it until I got to school! Oh wait... you're not the police. Good. Pretend I said nothing. Who are you and why are you here?"
"I was sent by Fred."
"Why?"
"He told me you were interested in joining the military."
"Yea, so?"
"How about I give you a chance to skip school tomorrow so you could learn more about the military and qualifications."
And as you could tell from the enemy perspective section, things weren't as they seemed.
