"Late." Mr Evans mumbled the second I walked into the room. "What do you have to say!?"
I looked at Mr Evans with a confused expression. My cheeks went pink when I heard my crush laugh. "S-sorry?" I murmured.
"Detention." Mr Evans said sternly.
"But sir-!"
"Do you want that to be a double detention?" Mr Evans interrupted, "now sit next to Elliot!"
I felt a truck load of butterflies dance in my stomach when I took a seat next to my crush.
"You're such an idiot." He laughed.
I felt my cheeks blush as I silently wished that the hair in my long plaits could cover my face. I then shyly looked down at my knees, and then at Elliot. Elliot had chocolate brown hair and amazing dark brown eyes. His skin was tan-ish and he had dimples.
The bell then rang, silencing the entire room. I grabbed my backpack and stood up. Elliot gave me a look as if to say "what the hell?" but I ignored him as I headed my way towards the door.
"ANDREA!" Mr Evans yelled, "sit down!"
"B-but the bell rang!" I protested, still standing.
"Just because the bell rang doesn't mean I dismissed the class!" Mr Evans shouted, his face going red as I slowly made my way towards my seat.
"Then what's the bell even for?" I asked cheekily. I felt my whole body go red when Elliot grabbed my hand and pulled me down, so I can sit and obey sir.
"That's it." Mr Evans sighed. "Double detention."
"Well done." Elliot whispered in my ear, his smirk appearing onto his face. I looked at him and rolled my eyes, which only made Elliot's smirk turn wider.

"Andreaa!" Layla squealed, running up to me after Mr Evans dismissed class and lectured me about my behaviour.
"Shh!" I hissed as I stared at Elliot who was outside the classroom with his friends.
Layla is probably one of the prettiest girls I know. She has wavy, hazelnut brown hair, and amazing blue eyes. Her eyelashes are so thick, she doesn't need to bother with mascara!
"One day he's yours hun!" Layla said as we walked down the corridor.
"Ha, I wish!" I laughed, "he likes you, y'know."
It was true. He asked her out a few weeks ago. He's always looking at her, and whenever Layla looks at him he goes bright red.
"Well.. we'll make him like you." Layla sighed, her gaze fixed on the floor.
"How?" I sighed back, "you're the prettiest girl in the school."
Before Layla could protest, Elliot came up to us and both me and Layla stopped in our tracks.
"Layla, Andrea." Elliot said cheerfully. His eyes were only on Layla.
"Elliot!" Layla smiled, pushing me forward. I glared at my best friend. "Wasn't Andrea so cool in glass today?"
"Yeah!" Elliot grinned, showing his adorable dimples. "such an honor that you sat next to me."
I felt my heart beat quicken as we stared into each others eyes. How can someone get so handsome?
"Y-yeah.." I squeaked after realising that I was staring. All of a sudden I began to feel shy.
"Uhh.. anyway.. I was wondering if Layla would like to go to the park with me today?" Elliot's cheeks went bright red. "You know.. just me and you."
Layla let out a fake sigh. "Such a shame, i'm busy! I'm sure Andrea's free."
I stepped on Layla's shoe, my way of telling her to stop. As much as I love Elliot the last thing I want to do is go to the park with him. I'm so awkward when it comes to boys, especially crushes.
"Y-yeah." Elliot sighed. He was clearly disappointed.
"See you!" I said quickly and dragged Layla into the nearest girls toilet. "Oh my god."
"Your welcome!" Layla giggled, "hope you have fun tonight!"
