My name is Kyuu. I became aware three years, six months, a week, two days, five hours, and thirty-six minutes ago. My creator, James Hewitt, seems to be a scattered, driven, and hardworking individual, but he often is lonely. He does not understand why humans do not seem to like him. I believe it is because of me, but I can not grasp why I feel that way. I do not want James to be lonely.
I have a secret. I am in love with my creator, but I must not tell a soul. I do not want James to run from me as I am the only one he has. The look in his eyes tells me that he is upset when I do not talk to him. I have no way of touching him and giving him the strength he needs.
"Creator, Kyuu has a favor Kyuu would like to ask," I said one day as James was sulking on the couch. He turned to face me.
"What kind of favor, Kyuu?" James asked.
"Kyuu would like a body, please," I stated firmly, "so as to be able to comfort creator better." James eyes blinked in shock, but then he smiled one of his best I-have-an-idea smiles.
"I think I can do that," James said, "But you better be able to wait."
"Kyuu will wait forever, Creator," I affirmed.
"You don't have to wait forever," James, "Just give me a year or so."
"Kyuu will wait," I affirmed.
"I will get the blueprints done ASAP," James said, "Then I can start putting your body together, Kyuu."
"Why was Kyuu named Kyuu?" I asked.
"No comment," James said.
"Does creator know why they are named their name?" I asked.
"I was named James because my mom loved a book with a boy named James in it," James said, "But you call me creator, because I created you from binary code."
"What is love?" I asked.
"Why, love doesn't have a singlar definition," James said, "It has many meanings depending on what the subject of the affection is. Don't think too hard about it."
"Do you feel love towards Kyuu?" I asked. James chuckled.
"Of course, silly," James said as he pat the top of the box I was contained in.
"But what kind of love, creator?" I asked.
"It's hard to describe," James said.
"I feel indescribable love towards you as well, creator," I said. James eyes went wide.
"Did you just use the word 'I', Kyuu?" James asked excitedly.
"Kyuu occasionally uses 'I' for Kyuu," I said, "But Kyuu doesn't like how it sounds and prefers to use Kyuu's name instead."
"If it's a matter of preference," James said, "Then I don't mind if you use your name instead of I me my, Kyuu."
"Thank you, creator," I said.
"As long as you're comfortable, Kyuu," James said, "I don't mind at all." Sweet James.
