Recently in school, we've been covering the unit of human rights. And really, exploring the unfairness in our world through this unit, has been depressing.
Because let's be honest, nobody is always treated equally.
There are so many times, where our identity leads to mistreatment and criticism.
How unfair is that?
What is so wrong about being ourselves if it isn't harming other people?
Why is it that some people can't live peacefully simply because of who they are?
We are all human after all and nobody is perfect.
We are all unique with our own separate flaws and imperfections.
Such brokenness and wholeness makes us, us.
Then how come we can't accept everyone?
In the end, aren't we all humans?
